It has taken me to the end of January to get here, but here I am. 15 stone something. I don't even know what the something is because my scales broke before Xmas and there has been, er, Xmas in between. The new scales with body fat monitor are hopefully arriving tomorrow though so I am looking forward to facing the music and beginning to track things better.
I have had a lifetime of poor eating habits, and since having my kids and developing a low thyroid, I am my heaviest ever. I know exactly what is wrong, it is the changing that is hard. I have used the fasting method before and found it really helpful, mostly because it worked more on my head and my heart than my belly or thighs. In other words, it helped me deal with my cravings, overrating, sweet tooth and other bad habits.
I am, officially, middle aged, and fully aware of the risks of getting older carrying so much fat. But I have also spent a fair old time over the last 18 months trying to sort my head out. After some depression,...

Hello my fellow fantastic fasters!
Am buzzing right now! Have been following this WOE for 16 weeks now and have had a total mixture of emotions at weigh in day...elation, disappointment, satisfaction, frustration and so on.
Some weeks have been one step forward, two back - but the point is, I am in it for the long haul. Have to be....as I have shed loads to lose and a lifetime of comfort eating to undo!
Am absolutely chuffed to report that at yesterday's weigh in I passed the 2 stone loss mark. That's right, dear reader, I have shed 29lbs so far!! My BMI has just left the red and gone amber - which is thrilling!
Delighted doesn't even begin to cover it! "Buzzing" goes some way.....
Being a determined moo when I set my mind to something (stubborn Leo!), I decided to join the Smart Easter Challenge. At that point, I had lost 1stone 5lbs, so I set myself the challenge of losing 16lbs in 10 weeks - which would bring the total loss to two and a half stone by Easter. Tough call,...

well day one is nearly up and im glad i managed. it wasnt difficult until i sat down then hunger grumbles kicked in. a bit of a foggy head even though drunk tea and so far 1ltr of water. dinner was amazing and now feel stuffed...or maybe thats the water. changed meal for turkey and roasted veg...yum yum. manuka honey and blackcurrant drink even though cost me just over 100 calories was a god send for the low sugar dizzyness. will have to watch out for that on the second day. will find it a lot easier when back at work with things to take my mind off the monsters in my tummy. just wating for 10 pm to roll up so i can have some squash.
now to work out the next day for fasting and hoping its easier. got some lovely recipes for main evening meals thanks again to Jillian.
omg my son has just walked in with a slice of cake...the lil so and so

Second blog posting of the day. I did my grumpy post this morning before I had read I had won the blogging award here. So now you have all cheered me up Thank you so much to those who follow me and just for reading. At least it is not blogging into cyberspace. It started out as self therapy, but I have really enjoyed the interaction from people here.
Anyway, some of you know this via PM, but the reason I have not been blogging as frequently in the past few weeks is that I have landed a job in San Francisco Bay Area. I'm scared stiff - the job, the move, the upheaval. But an opportunity of a lifetime. I have no idea how long it will last, but I have decided to live true to my signature. I leave...
