I have taken the advice given on here and decided to save most of my cals for my evening meal. Drank lots of tea and water plus a peach to tide me over. All in all a good day. Salmon with purple broccoli and asparagus for dinner

Im not going to weigh myself until after my 6th fast, That way I will notice a bigger loss (hopefully)

I'm amazed at the excitement and self satisfaction of reaching my goal weight. It feels great - like I'm strong and I have new self assurance. :victory: What a wonderful side benefit. I've learned so much:

1) it's okay to be hungry, it will pass
2) I don't need to eat as much as I thought
3) skipping a meal/breakfast is okay despite popular media
4) i can exercise on an empty stomach

It's been an journey full of self discovery. I hope everyone else has as good of an experience and gets back on the program when they have a slip up, which is only normal. My journey was a lot different then some, but it's given me an appreciation for so many people struggling to lose weight. :like:

Had a steep but short walk in the country today, but later I'll walk to the furthest away shop (45 min round trip) for milk. Funny how walking can become addictive. My legs feel restless when they're not heavy with tiredness.

Anyway, I also realised that I've slipped into fasting too much. It seems to be easy for me to go three days in a row with just a 500 cal evening meal. Any mid-day hunger pangs fade after ten minutes or so and my energy levels are not noticeably depleted - I'm still walking a brisk 5-6 miles per day. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday have all been fast days and today (Wed), although the intention was NOT to fast, has turned into the same. I went out for lunch with a friend but lunch was chicken caesar salad (no dressing), a starter size portion of lean chicken breast, lettuce and two anchovies and two croutons. I don't think I've quite hit 500 calories in that meal but the chunk of protein has kept me feeling full (we ate at 2pm) and I don't see the point of eating an evening...

Today's weigh in shows a 25 lb. loss in 3 months of fasting to lose weight. I am very happy with this weight loss even though I sometimes get anxious for it to drop faster. At -20 lbs. I cut my hair to a very short style. I love it and it reminds me to keep my focus on the prize.

I am trying to blog about fasting to help me remember all the hard work I put into this. I don't want to lose all the weight just to put it back on and then more. I have done that in the past and it is so depressing.
Fasting has given me my health back little by little. My mental attitude toward exercise is getting better as I lose weight. I have found fasting all day is easier than snacking or small meals. I eat one meal in the evening and it satisfies me. When I leave for my travels I know I have to fast 2 or three days in a row before the trip in order to keep the weight off.

I eat salads with some protein every Mon, Wed, and Friday. I drink a lot of tea, coffee, and water on my fasting...

Second fast day, way better. Walked my dog this morning, drank water, 3 cups of green tea and felt great. Grumbling stomach around lunchtime, had a walk, glass of water and this passed.
Went to PT session, felt a little light headed but was hot and passed easily enough. Dinner tonight a full 24 hrs later, yay did it!! Had tuna, bean and salad out of the book. Savoured every mouthful with relish, never taken so long to eat salad but it was wonderful.
No food now until tomorrow morning, preferably after 7.30 to get a 12 break in.
So pleased with myself, loving my new lifestyle although still cautious, early days yet
