Fast Day 7 and the best yet! No food till dinner, which was a green salad and a small portion of homemade macaroni and cheese. I was planning steak and salad, but it's just too hot to cook. So a high carb meal it is
I interested to see how I feel tomorrow because after Monday's fast, I had a strange day on Tuesday - felt dizzy and quite weak all day. I'm not sure if it was related to the fast day or something else, but I can't think what  .
Weigh in day tomorrow and I'm excited! Hopefully I will see some change, especially since it's after a fast day. At first I thought it was best to weigh in 2 days after a fast to be more accurate, but after reading a tip somewhere on the forum, I like the idea of always weighing in after my second fast of the week i.e. Friday....

Yesterday was a fast day. And it was a hard one! Mainly at night, trying to get off to sleep. My mind just wouldn't stop. I was thinking about weight loss, clothing size, what we were going to do over the next few days (holidays) and cookies. For some reason I kept thinking about cookies! I don't even really like cookies, except to dunk in coffee. I went to bed around 11.30pm, think I fell asleep around 1.30am, hubby came home and woke me at 2.30am then I tossed and turned for another hour. I got up and had a cup of milk, which I'd been holding out on as I usually have yoghurt but neither really help. Anyway, I'm up at 7am to get ready to head into the city for the next couple of days. I will be driving as hubby has had even less sleep having just come of night shift.

This is the earliest I've eaten after a fast before. I wasn't feeling great and we're likely to have McDonalds breakfast before our three hour drive. I really didn't want to have that massive shock to the system in fats...

Well, after a few initial 'cranky' bumps in my first fast day road, I'd say it was a resounding success. I came in well below my allotted 500 calories, and got my crankiness under control early on. Glad that today isn't a fast day, though!

The scale was down this morning, which is another positive note, but as a daily weigher, I take a loss just like I take a gain: with a grain of salt. As long as my trend-line is on a downward slope, I feel good about my numbers.

I haven't taken my measurements again yet (going to do that weekly) and don't know how I'll feel about those if they go up because, unlike the scales, I'm not used to 'accepting' fluctuating numbers. Hopefully I'll take them with as much aplomb!

DODO fast #5. I continue to worry about the 'diety' nature of doing this. I do feel deprived. The fast days come up relentlessly. I never get to recover before it's on me again. And I haven't lost any weight on the scale as yet. I did think my size 14 black pants were a tiny bit looser last night, so that's something to hold onto today.
I had tomatoes on bread for breakfast again. Probably about 100 calories: bread, 29gm, 65 calories, 100 gm of tomatoes - 30 calories plus a smidgen of oil and a sprinkling of salt, pepper and sugar. I can do without breakfast if I'm doing 5:2 but not every other day. It just makes me feel so depressed.
Today I am going to beat the hunger by eating apples. They are lovely and crunchy. We have 2 different un-named ones from Kate and Kylie's tree, plus Bramleys, Spartans, Granny Smiths and Golden Delicious from our tree. I've been cooking the Bramleys and eating the Spartans fresh and I do like them.
Tonight's dinner will be skinless chicken thigh. 105...

I'm not really meaning to blog every day, I'm sure the idea will rub off eventually. But sometimes I come across someone on here who had similar goals to me or their journey sounds fascinating but they don't blog so I can't get a full story on it. And I just think, I wish they did, so I can see I'm not alone in this. I'm not the only one with SO much weight to lose, with such a long time 'til goal date, not the only one without kids, not the only one just trying to at least get into a size 16! Never mind a size 12, 10, 8 etc (one day, maybe?)

Anyway, today was a feed day. Semi happy with the day. Yum brekky of egg and bacon sandwich (stoked that I no longer want BBQ sauce and cheese on these dang things). Not hungry for lunch but made cinnamon scrolls for hubby n me. Had two small ones. Had half of dinner coz I wasn't hungry (steak, mash, onions) then out to a craft group where I munch my way through handfuls of skittles. I don't even know why. I'm not mad keen on them (much more a savoury...
