My sixth fast on March 28. I had a bit of trouble as I was not working and home most of the day, except for 2 hours. (walking the dog and a little trip for a water check at Sauble) I had a full 2 liter bottle of diet lemonade. 0 calories, 6 oz container of blackberries (yummy) and veggies, salmon and strawberries for supper. I got to thinking about snacks in the late afternoon. So I cleaned and tidied the house. So I put my anxiety into something constructive.
Today is Good Friday, a holiday.
It should be a nice day today, temperatures above freezing and maybe some sun. Good day to walk the dog, maybe the "big block", 7 km.
I step on the scales each morning. After fasting yesterday, I am down almost 7 pounds. That would not be a weight to record, as my official weights are Monday morning, after not fasting for a few days. But good for me.

Im struggling with the 'meal' bit on the fast days.
Im quite a fussy eater and trying to piece together two small meals is a big mind boggling atm!
I have made a list of low calorie foods i.e. tuna, chicken and rice cakes.

Just wanting some ideas on what you guys eat on a typical fast day. :like:

Today has been a good day :victory: I was a little bummed about my 200g weight gain on my weigh-in day, but then yesterday and this morning I had LOST weight! After two feed days which for me is totally unheard of. I saw brand new numbers on my scales this morning. I'm under 100kg!!!!!! I know it will probably be up again tomorrow so I'm not rejoicing too much but it was amazing to see some new numbers. It's making me hopeful of actually achieving my Easter target of 95kg. So, yeah I'm happy to see my weight is going in the right direction!

1 day down just 4 more to go. I can't wait to see Jamie on Saturday. It will be the last time I see him before he moves down here. I'm getting very excited. I'm going to try 4:3'ing while at Jamie's. He said he wants to give it a go too but he needs me there for support and motivation (which I will more than happily give). Whenever I am there I always...

Heading out to play golf shortly and the sun is peaking through the clouds
My second fast day is tomorrow and I am still looking forward to that, so with that in mind it is helping me to make healthy choices for food today. I was going to have a meal at the clubhouse golf but have decided to come home and make something healthy instead - not sure what at this point in the morning but have several options - will see what happens.
My first weigh in will be Monday morning and I am looking forward to seeing a lower number on the scales
I also have golf tomorrow (fast day) so hopefully I will not be too tired - worry a bit about that but hey hoe will give it a go anyway - nothing ventured and so on...
I still find myself eating too many biscuits/cookies - and hubby commented on that yesterday (although...

Greetings fellow strivers!

This morning is my fourth fast day - and with nice scale and waist results. I love the start of any "change" (as in diet or better a new Way of Living). I also know the great start is often followed by a more flat success curve and even stepping backwards. So this is the time to save some sunshine. While we all know this is as hard as finding the gold at the end of a rainbow, we can do actions to lift our mood and/or stiffen our resolve (on those not-so-great days). One of the things I find really helpful is reading and I would like to share two books with you. I have read them during the past year and find them worthy of recommending.

"The power of habit" by Charles Duhigg
It's about how the brain works and how we can intervene something Charles calls "the habit loop". As with many other things, once we realize how it works, it changes us. Some might find it a bit broad (talks about...
