Well, I feel much better today! Was it because of a successful fast day? Was it being in control of my eating? Somehow I was able to not eat after dinner. Still can't work out what is happening in my head/body that means sometimes I can resist evening eating, and other times I can't.

Haven't had too much food today. Yet. Hard boiled egg and muesli with milk for brekkie. Busy morning with the painting class and then off to lunch with the women from the group. Had a very interesting salad whose ingredients I can't recall apart from kale and grilled halloumi. And that's been it for today and I am about to make dinner (roast chook and steamed veg). Oh, have had a glass of Cab Sav.

So not much to report on today.

Hi
i have been doing this diet for 4 weeks now and although i have lost 5lb which im very happy about i feel its taking a long time to come off :frown:

i have a high bmi so was hoping it would come off a little faster my husband has been doing the same diet and cheating and has lost a stone ! (he has been dieting a bit longer than me )

I started to weigh my self every day and note it down but i just kept going up each time so not a good idea for me so here is the plan: i weigh every Wednesday from now on i will NOT look at my scales until next Wednesday, i will change my fast day to Tuesday instead of Monday as then i only have one day in between my next fast day Thursday and im going to try really hard ,

i think im fed up due to having a broken foot for the last 4 weeks and only just found out (i just thought badly bruised .... that's another story ) and ear infection

sorry to moan i do...

So Day 2 was a success! I ate more than I planned to but was really hungry and don't feel restricted on this diet! I ate lasagne and garlic bread for lunch, 5 rice cakes and jam, breaded fish with vegetables and bread, HALF A CHEESECAKE  (not good) and some fresh pineapple. If I hadn't had a whole half cheesecake I would have said it was a complete success. But there is always tomorrow.. although I do have that half a cheesecake left..

Yesterday was my 2nd fast day, and I found it so much harder, I think this is probably due to the fact I was tired but I struggled on and today I'm glad I did because I feel much better for it.
Anyway whilst I've slowly been coming to grips with fast days I've been finding it harder than I thought it would be to get my head around feast days, so I ordered the recipe book from Amazon (through this website of course!), it came this morning in the post, so I'm going to sit down and have a nice cup of fruit tea and a peruse of said book!

So Tuesday was a 'feast' day, not too sure I like that name, makes me feel like a pig! Haha. I still tracked my food and calories on the my fitness pal app cos otherwise it's easy to overeat by hundreds of calories! Here's what I ate:

Breakfast: Eat Natural bar: 207 calories

Lunch: 2/3 of an Innocent Thai Curry veg pot: 209 calories
100g pineapple chunks: 44 calories
Guylian Praline chocolate bar: 211 calories

Snacks: Boots Shapers Sweet and Salty popcorn: 89 calories
Teasers bar: 186 calories

Dinner: Homemade bbq sauce chicken and a baked sweet potato: 333 calories

So the total for the day: 1279 calories.

I'm not sure if that's too little calories as people say you don't lose as much weight if you undereat on feast days. The fitness pal app says I should eat 1860 calories a day to maintain my current weight. I'm pretty sure I make the extra calories up with the odd takeaway here and there ;) I think...
