Back to fasting today after a mini break. I can so do this. I cannot eat today but I can have anything tomorrow.
Have already fed animals, cleaned and refilled chicken water feeders, unloaded dishwasher and sorted re cycling. Now having my breakfast black coffee. Have jobs planned for this morning then am visiting a friend this afternoon. Will have a vegetable frittata this evening. Then earlyish to bed and fast day done!
The last four days I have eaten too much and feel uncomfortable so am pleased to fast today. I am slowly adjusting my attitude to food but it is a long process!
Weather continues beautiful here and new fence nearly done. I just need to finish attaching the chicken wire. OH has made the gate. It will confuse the ducks as they are used to the whole of the back. The pond area is large with trees and a grassed area as well as their house so they will be fine. I am loving what we are doing with the garden. It is skowly looking less like the farmyard it was!
Wow, phone just...

Things are going very well so far. I have lost much more than I thought I would in the first few days. I know that it is often the case with new diets and I brace myself for a rebound or a stagnation, but I am please with results for now.

I will be fasting tomorrow. I use the method where I have a very light breakfast around 7am, fast for 10-12 hours and then have a very light dinner (500 calories in 36 hours). It seems to help me get through the day and, more importantly, the night, as I can't sleep if my stomach is totally empty. I am so busy during the day that the fast isn't bad at all. Tomorrow is no exception and I have so many meetings and presentations that the day will go very fast (no pun intended!) and the time of my little dinner will come soon enough. I am feeling very positive.

I have been very tired though, and I do hope it isn't a side effect of the fasting. We will see.

Another thing I have noticed, which is what I was mainly hoping for, even more than weight loss:...

Got on the scales with some trepidation this morning but glad to see I had lost 400gms (my stats are incorrect)and now down to 72.3kg :victory:

This week I have only done 1 fast this past week - started on Saturday with good intentions but didn't get past 4.00pm :-( ad although I did a massive bike ride (85kms) on one day I didn't ride for 2 days - so a loss is still good for me.

People are now starting to see and comment on the weight loss so really pleased that it's not just me who can see the difference.

Need to up my bike sessions as the charity ride is only 4 weeks away - so will be doing longer sessions so hopefully burning more calories.

Just need to keep up the good work as would like to be down to 70kgs by the time the rife starts - who know's what I'll be by the time I finish???

Over the weekend I read the Fasting Diet book after hearing about it on the news (I live in the US). I had my first fast day yesterday. I ate today and am doing another fast day tomorrow. I want to lost about 10 lbs. (I don't know what that is in stones), I felt so good this morning. I actually felf lighter. I did eat today as I normally would but have to say I am honestly looking forward to fasting again. My first day I was at home but tomorrow I will be at work so I hope it will be as easy as it was at home. Work is very stressful and I eat from stress. I have my 500 cal. planned out so I am ready. I will keep you posted on my progress and invite anyone to share your progress with me!!!

Weight 9st 7.25lbs

So in the end it all went to pot. Got to hotel and had glass of wine. There was literally nothing for me ot order on the dinner menu that was relatively healthy. What I got wasn't even that great but the day went like this in the end:

bfast: 2 boiled eggs (140)
Lunch: frozen veg, cauliflower rice, soy sauce (80)
Dinner: red wine, fries, 1/2 pulled pork sambo, 1/2 battered cod, champagne, chocolates (1230)

That is a massive dinner....and the food was cold but I enjoyed the champagne treat.

The totals came in at 1449, 73gr carbs. Not the worst day but not a great semi fast- had hoped to stick around the 1000cals mark. It is also a precursor for next week when I'm going to be going to a hotel for the weekend so eating out fri, sat and part of sunday plus hotel breakfasts sigh. I will say that my portion control is better and had I known I was going to the hotel, I would have skipped breakfast and lunch and stuck to just dinner. That's what I intend to to do next week....
