Me and diets have never worked, I loose a 1lb or 2 here and there and loose all my motivation, then see a nice piece of cake or the amazing Lint Sea Salt chocolate (my weakness) and all my work is undone. Then a work colleague suggested this diet, I thought what have I got to loose, if I have a square of chocolate I can get back on the diet, it's about balance.

I have to say this diet has been a pleasure, even my two days of 500 calories have not been a chore, with lots of green tea and no dairy at all on my fast day, I can officially say this is the best diet I have been on, so after 6 days I have lost 7lbs, it's totally gobsmacking and motivating, I am off to Cuba in 6 weeks I would love to be able to feel confident on the beach and the way I am going this is going to be an amazing reality

So to everybody that has struggled on diets in the past, give this ago do not think its a waste of time, try it for a week, you may feel on top of the world and it is only 7 days out of your life...

Friday 31 January 2014, 8.28 am in the 'Big Bother House'...
"Thank Crunchie its Friday"is all I can say! (that will be an imaginary Crunchie bar of course! (My nickname here on this site (Chockfan) says it all.) Talking of chocolate, I'm still allowing myself a small square of lovely, bittersweet Plamil Dark chocolate on non-fast days - its sweetened with Stevia, so more virtuous compared with dark chocolate with added sugar. So... I've got two fast days under my belt now - lost a couple of pounds already - official weigh-in day is Sunday for me, hoping for a bit more to come off by then to encourage me to keep going. Have been taking photos each week but so far my weight loss of about 4 pounds since December doesn't show any difference in the pix - maybe its got to get to half a stone before I can see a difference in the mirror. Feel like I want to eat more sensibly on my non-fast days too, so that's good. Think I might have to divvy up my fast day calories in a different...

Today is my 3rd fast and am really getting in the swing of things. I even paid a visit to Holland & Barrett for some Zero Noodles for tonight's stir fry. I also saw some Slim Pasta and bought a few packets of that as well.

Today's food plan:

Breakfast:
0% fat Greek yoghurt
2 oatcakes

Lunch:
Bouillon
10 cal jelly

Dinner:
Veg Stirfry

I've been drinking a couple of cans of diet coke to help with hunger pangs too. I am disappointed at this because of the Aspartame it contains. I know it's not good for me and will try not to rely on this on future fasts.

First weigh day tomorrow. My scales aren't the most reliable so will use Hubby's...

Because it is a very strange place.
So where I am now? .......I have had a very reflective week that ended in a few days in Paris with friends ( who live there). This last week I have not fasted but have eaten carefully. What have I achieved! Coffee is down to breakfast only. I have long been concerned about my need for caffeine and wanted to deal with it. I have invested in Perrier water as find that more palatable than still. I know cold weather will be a problem but I am leaving that until it happens. I have also drastically cut back on carbs for a few days. From that I have learned that I need some in my diet but can easily reduce the amount. I have reminded myself too that I do not need chocolate. I once went a complete month with no chocolate. I know that if I have a bit I want more. If I do not eat it I can live without it.
The more I understand my body the easier it gets but I have realized I need to listen.
So, to conclude......I can do this, but not all in one go. I have to be...

Well last Monday April 15th 2013 I weighed myself and found that I was 11st 10lbs !!!!!!! :frown:

OMG - well I hadn't been concentrating on what I was eating as I'd been decorating etc. Excuses - excuses.

Anyway started again and did 3 low calorie days and this week I weighed in at 11st 7lbs - Yay !!!

I'm going to do another week of 3 low calorie days this week and then will see how much I weigh on Monday.

My aim is to get under 1 1st by my birthday on June 20th. My overall aim is to get to 9 st 7 lbs by June 2014 in preparation for our daughter's wedding in August 2014.

I'm finding that this way of eating suits me better than 'dieting' every day as I've done in the past as I can maintain it. I...
