So after a few days of planning and prepping today is my first fasting day.

I've decided to try and listen to my body a bit and try not to eat until I feel like I absolutely have to. So far I'm keeping myself going on tea and sugar free squash and have got to lunch time with no wobbles :victory: I am keeping myself distracted with work and I think I'll take myself off for a walk in a while to enjoy the bracing weather :dazed:

I'm feeling optimistic today, so hopefully I can keep this up

Been a busy day. Usual duties looking after animals. Had a a problem with leaking shower, complicated to get to but discovered mice had chewed a hole in a flexible drainage pipe. Will be replacing with a rigid more robust pipe they cannot bite through! Oh the joy of living in deepest rural France.
Went to see Lincoln this afternoon as was being shown in English. Had planned pizza for dinner but wasn't hungry so did not have anything. My head said eat but my stomach said no so I listened to my tummy for once. Planning a fast day tomorrow.
Generally feeling brighter today so hopeful of succeeding tomorrow.

I managed the first week of Australian holiday fast well, and continued to loose, in-spite of meals out, my mums cooking and being reunited with an old flame- Cheezels!

Yesterday was supposed to mark week 2 of holiday mode (I think I am about 6 weeks in), and I just couldn't (or wouldn't) do it.

Driving from Bathurst to Sydney, a Rugby League game, old friends, Grandmas bacon all amounted to complete lack of will power for me.

I can't see it getting better this week with afternoon teas and lunches booked in with old friends until middle of next week.

What to do what to do?

Determined to return home to England thinner than when I left.

I found this quote this morning. Will try and look at it often.

i really love this website it's full of information and helpful people :D

Decent into being obese...

OK well a little about me, I have always been the fat girl in my class, My biggest problem is being a binge eater steadily gaining weight every year till my junior year in which i started dropping weight like crazy. I had joined take off pounds sensibly as well as jogging in the mornings with my recruiter for the military. Then i had a accident and hurt my knees. With my inability to do anything that would put strain on my knees, when even walking sometimes was a problem because they could and have given out and made me fall. So my hopes and dreams of the future disappeared, and depression sank in. Along with my depression i had problems at home so moved out and got married to the first guy that paid attention to me. Three years later i had gained all my weight back and more and i have...

My 2nd no-breakfast fast. This time I am at home, not at work, and I am nervous. So I am writing my blog to help myself think straight about it. 1. If I am REALLY hungry I can have a miso soup. 2. I will drink water or non-caffeine tea. I have already had coffee and ordinary tea, so I need to drink something else next or I will get a caffeine overload. 3. Keep busy. I can do my Japanese on-line class. I can write a letter to my grand daughter. I can work on my design for the tapestry. I can go for a walk. I can go into the garden and spread around pigeon manure, check on the brassicas and the peas and broad beans, plant some more broad beans if necessary. It isn't a very nice day but it's not actually raining, so although it doesn't look inviting, it will be ok outside if I dress warmly. Once outside, one never regrets it. And this afternoon I have an appointment with my mum's doctor and then to the gym. So that sorts out the afternoon.

Weighing today was troubling. I stood on the scales...
