Since my Saturday weigh on and losing neither an inch or a pound, I found myself drifting to my old ways of eating. It's a psychological thing for me, I need to 'see' weight come off and feel the delightful feeling of my clothes becoming looser.
Had a calorific heavy meal in a pizza chain last night (but no pudding) whilst out with a friend. Today I am on my first 36 liquid fast of the week and I am glad I am. Give my poor tum a rest  .

I'm on my 14 th week of this woe and I haven't lost any weight for four weeks now  I'm enjoying the diet and I am very strict on fast days and don't go above my calories on non fasting days. Help I want to lose another 10 lbs.

That is the sound of my head hitting the keyboard in annoyance by the way!

No not due to fasting issues, but, due to husbands ruining plans! Tonight we were going to snuggle up and watch the new Thor and then play board games, but now due to his work phoning, he's going in tonight and there for ruined not only tonights plans but ruined tomorrows too. As we've promised Sofia we'd take her to her favorite play area and now cause he's working we can't go (I don't drive and it's to far away by bus)

not a happy bunny right now so may take my frustration out by going to my mums tomorrow and bake many many cakes!

Also as I type this the cat has just given Sofia a nasty scratch across the palm of her hand so now am also annoyed at the cat!

Right gonna go drink tea to calm my self before I vent spleen, kidneys and part of my lower intestines in frustration!

I've struggled for years to be aware of when and what I'm eating, not to eat unconsciously or till I'm overly full. What a surprise that this has happened when I'm not looking for it, or even trying to do it! From fast days, I'm very aware that hunger is my friend, and that it will wax and wane, not attack and overwhelm me without warning. Even on non-fast days, I naturally pause and think before grabbing the nearest item and cramming it in my face. Rather than grazing all day, I generally now eat (on non-fast days) two meals, possibly one snack. Somehow, the permission to eat what I want without guilt, means I don't have to eat it--because I can, whenever I really want it!

For those of us--probably most of us--who've been on many diets, the "diet mentality" leads to eating inappropriately, so you don't "miss out" on something yummy--you never know, you might be on (another) diet later and not get to have it. But if I know I can have a scone,...

and now it is 2 months since I last posted my weight- I do feel bad about it but am glad to say that I am back on track and about a pound less than in august- not much but it could have been so much worse!!! We have had visitors, stomach bugs etc and we are still here- last week we tried the 4:3 and doing the same this week as the results were great and I am hoping for similar this week.
Next week we are off for a week but have already planned our fast days so it all fits in- target till end of january- which will be a year of doing 5:2- to loose another stone. A present to myself!!!
can't wait to update the progress tracker on saturday!!!
