so this morning was doing really well, I was'nt that hungry, saw myself through till dinner with another cup a soup, so far so good. Then at work they made banana bread with butter cream icing, but they were tiny slivers so OBVIOUSLY I had to indulge, but did'nt feel as bad about it as I normally would of. Did'nt put myself on a giult trip about it, but then ended up going out for a *few* drinks and now feel awful, so think I'm going to turn tomorrow into a fast day, aswell as my other fast day which is Thursday. Which in turn is making me feel better

Well so much for not having gained any weight -- I actually am up two pounds from last week. BUT, knowing my thyroid levels on my blood work were too low last week makes me feel much better. And on the bright side, I'm wearing a t-shirt that is from the regular ladies' department in Target, not the fat ladies' department! So that makes me feel good. Three weeks ago, it was obscenely tight. So there's a chance this 2 pounds is some sort of water or something and not a real gain.

Yes, I am the QUEEN of denial!

Another week an another battle won! Yesterday fast was very hard and I had wanted to break it several times. I had a banana right before a meeting that I was supposed to have at 4pm and came home baked a bread and made dinner. My dinner was miracle noodles with bolognaise sauce with tons of cheese. I did not manage to eat it up due to unforeseen circumstances though has a piece of sourdough bread with cheese before bedtime.

Thursday is official weighing day and I lost weight from last week. A whopping 0,9kg! I am not sure where it came from as I have been eating per normal and not been ‘starving’ or avoiding stuff. I was not dehydrated either as I was drinking obscene amount of tea and diet soda.

The weight is slowly creeping down and I will have to look at what kind of maintenance plan that I can live with and find viable. When I have reached my goal weight, it is off to the next phase. Getting muscular!

I really wanted to 'break' my plateau this week and lose some of my fat that has decided it is going nowhere! So, I decided to do 2 x 36 liquid only fasts (see more details on specific pages on this forum, which are very helpful I found) and lo and behold, I have lost 2 pounds this week.

My first liquid fast started from my last meal on Monday evening and then only water, tea and coffee (but mostly water) until Wed morning. I sneakily jumped on the scales then and I hadn't lost anything but my second fast from Thursday night until this morning, did seem to shift it.

I don't like weighing myself, much preferring to go by how my clothes fit but I felt I needed to track my weight more effectively on here and on MyFitnessPal app. It is when I feel I am getting nowhere that I give up and this time around I know I want to get to a healthy weight. I am fed up of having to buy frumpy elasticated clothes when I badly want a pair of jeans to look good on me. Yes I know plus fashions are much nicer...

I started 5:2 yesterday, well today 30th April 2013 is my first official fast day, and so far so good. I woke up this morning and said today is the day - so I am just beginning this new lifestyle. Only time will tell as does with all we do but here's hoping that just the beginning will lead to a fantastic journey with a happy ending.
My plan for week one is fast today, Thursday, and Sunday and I will weigh in on Monday, 6th April. For today I have had:
    water
cup of hot tea without milk
cup of coffee with skim milk
    a fig roll
    pint iced green tea
1/2 portion carrot salad (full portion = 4 carrots grated, juice of lemon, 1 tbsp. sunflower seeds and 1 tbsp. of raisins)
half cup of coffee without milk
    pint iced green tea
1/2 portion of carrot salad again

Dinner will be chicken breast cooked on BBQ without sauce and salad leaves, more iced green tea.

It's just the beginning...
