Heaven help me but I havent had a proper sleep since I started this!! Not sure if its the WOE or the weather or if there's something else working on me... but didnt get to sleep until 2.30am and I never hear an alarm any more as I'm always awake before it. I dont think this is a good thing as I'm now quite exhausted.

May get some berroca at the weekend to see if that helps boost energy. Still feeling very bloated too - actually feel like a big football even though yesterday was a fast day and I didnt go off course at all.

Intending to do another fast day tomorrow - I'll likely be too tired to eat anyway at this rate!!

Hoping for a good kip :sleepy: :sleepy:

Hello!

Thought I'd join in the blogging. It seems really interesting and I thought that I might be able to get some good advice off you guys!

Day 1: I started my first fast day today. I thought about food a bit more but having managed to persuade my mum & stepdad to join in, I found myself the motivator which inspired me more.

I have opted for the 3:4 diet. Reason being, I have recently had surgery on my knee (OUCH!!) and since originally dislocating my knee in May, I think the term is that I've "piled it on".

I'm 5'9 and 23. I do weigh more than your average lady because I'm so tall and by no means am I massively overweight. However, I'm not happy with my current weight.

I currently weight 76kg and my target is 60.3kg.

I am starting before the festive season, so I guess I really will be tried. I will aim to update as much as possible with my progress. Any advice?

Good luck to all  ...

I certainly feel that way just now. I have broken through a barrier this last week and have impressed myself. I have always viewed traveling as a time when I have no control over what I eat. Also staying with friends who think I need feeding. So, I cannot control what is given to me but I can control how much I eat. I can also say no to extras, which I did! This is all new to me. I had always thought I had to stay within my points to lose weight and was obsessive in my approach, a real diet bore. Now I eat what is offered and do not worry as I know my fasts will take care of any excess. The weird thing is I just do not want the amount I used to eat or the things. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy chocolate etc, just not so much. I am loving this new regime.
On the home front....one of my broody hens has hatched four chicks overnight. They are adorable little bundles of fluff. The original two are fully feathered now but still protected as they are small and I have buzzards flying around!...

Current Actual Weight: 73.1kg (11 stone 7 pounds)
Current Trend Weight: 72.6kg (11 stone 5 pounds)

What I am about to describe about yesterday, is one that I really don't want to remember for the rest of my life. As all of you know who have read my previous blog entries, weekends are never a good time for me when it comes to weight loss and yesterday, that weekend curse has ended up striking yet again. Until yesterday, the week was going really well for me. I had cut down my carb intake by quite a bit, and reached my lowest ever weight on record (which was 11 stone 2 pounds) and that was just a couple of days ago.

From that, you would think that I would be a dead cert to remain below 11 and a half stone and achieve my final long term target at tomorrow's official weekly weigh-in, of recording a weight of less than 11 and a half stone on a Monday morning, especially as I would need to gain a lot of weight in a short period of time for that not to happen. However, I have always been very...

This is gonna sounds ridiculous but I actually find fast days easier that feeding days! Is this because my calorie intake for the day is so low I just stop thinking about food? When I have no strict limits I seem to go off the rails - like today! Is there any advice out there for a self confessed overeater??
