Heard about this diet from some guests and did some reading up on it.
Was impressed by what I read and decided to give it a go.
HAve been trying to loose weight for about 6 months now and it's been difficult. I am taking part in a charity cycle road at the end of May 2013 cycling from Paris to London and so far my training - extra walking, cycling, cross trainer hasn't produced the results I hoped for.
Was very ill in February and lost a couple of kilos but need to keep up the momentum now.
As we entertain clients a lot - and eat with them - losing weight is quite difficult for me so I am hoping that with the flexibility of this diet I can still carry on with my work and loose weight.
Fingers crossed :like:

I gained back some 13 odd pounds. I continue to do weight training with some olympic weight lifting thrown in. Cycling is down to about 55 miles per week. I think I may be more out-of-shape from the scale neglect than the cycling accident (which put a 12 inch bruise on one of my legs). I'm getting back to daily scale measurement.
I need to seriously consider whether I'm ready to do some mountain cycling to a 10,000 foot peak.

I had kale for supper yesterday. This was the first time that I had bought kale. My husband is not one for different foods and kale has never been on the menu. But I made it for myself and enjoyed it.
I trimmed it from the hard stems, and cut it into smaller pieces then sprinkled it with celery and garlic salt, then baked it for 15 minutes or so. I probably could have done similar in the dehydrator. It was fairly crispy.
Dried kale would be a good snack on fast days.
So far on fast days, I have a snack in the late afternoon and supper at 7pm. I seem to be fine without eating until 3 pm with tea, coffee, cold water and diet pop.
The rest of my fast day was fine (number 7). I had a 2 liter bottle of diet grapefruit drink; water would have been a better choice. I ate blackberries (1/2container) in the late afternoon. Supper was the kale, salmon, raw cauliflower, 1/2 yellow pepper, 5 little tomatoes, small orange. I didn't count the calories, but I sure that this was less than 500.

I think I'm getting the hang of things now, 2:13 and I've eaten a boiled egg, slice of toast and tea, plus plenty of water. Ive started using MyFitnessPal instead of calorie count so I've come in at 280 so far today, I will probably have soup later on this evening.

Yesterday I had only eaten 650 calls by dinner time but was concerned when the app said I might go in to starvation mode? So I topped up with a couple  of glasses of wine.
