First fast sorted. I wouldn't say it was easy but neither was it hard if you know what I mean! Developed a migraine mid afternoon but this happened on the first fast last time, so I am not worried. I quickly controlled it.
I am thinking about doing ADF. Will try it this week and see how it goes. Having spent so long follwing WW I am used to the control of it. My feast days I eat too much. If I fast every other day then my feast days will not be a problem. Hopefully in time I can re educate myself with regards to food.
I love the way I feel post fast and completly understand why it is part of many religions. I feel that when I know I am sinking into the black pit I should fast. The feeling of well being fasting generates could help stop my decline. I am determined to stay off the drugs. I am working towards clean food. As far as possible I have only home made. There are some things I cannot make but by buying locally I can control it better.
So day 1 under my belt and feeling good.

Today was soooo much better than Monday. Didn't eat till nearly 1pm, sugar snap peas, bovril and a quorn hotdog. New discovery Quorn meals and snacks. Whole meals with minimal calories! Definitely gonna get these when fasting at work for the microwave, or going to family over the Easter break to stay! Gym last night and this morning.
Am worried about fitting in exercise next week with kids off school and going to Yvette's.

Today no yuk mid afternoon feeling, but didn't drink as much as I could have. Must drink more next fast. Throat fells a bit sore too :frown: other than that I haven't felt deprived at all today. In bed now with herbal sleep tea, need a rest. Was so good, baked creme egg cupcakes...

Well, after having a grump on here and asking for help, so many folks jumped up with suggestions, tips and ideas, it's brilliant, now I'm gonna keep going with a fresh head and a can do attitude!

Going to kick the slim.fast and have a small bowl of porridge instead, and push back having it each fast day by about half an hour, (1 shot glass of oats, milk and water, and 1 tsp on sweetener) Lunch it'll be some form of salad with a little chicken or other form of meat and for tea have a big batch of @carorees roast veg that she suggested to me and any left overs will use @izzy suggestion of making soup out of it for future days! :)

So glad I vented my frustrations, got so much help out of it, feel a tonne better, so in the spirit of this, i'll use the quote, keep calm and carry on! :D

Woke this morning feeling I wanted breakfast. Cannot give up that soon so put some washing on, let the chickens and Mr Bob out and fed dogs and cats. I saw a big dog fox in a distant field so did some loud clapping. He scooted off but I am sure he has my garden on his rounds so will have to watch out. Still back to 4:3. Having also done some ironing I am now having my coffee and thoughts of breakfast have gone. I will focus on having my breakfast tomorrow morning. And this is how I am making it work. Trying to establish my three fasting days and telling myself I can have it tomorrow. I don't think I have lost much weight so far but know it takes a while for my body to adjust. So, one day at a time with the same fast days each week and one day I will see I have lost weight.

So I have been impatient to start dropping my post-baby weight for a while and have been reliant on exercise because I'm breastfeeding. My son is now 11 months and eating a large amount of solids and BFs have become mostly for his comfort so I'm not worried about reducing my milk production now. Time to get cracking! My BMI is 24.9 (scraping me into the normal zone). I'd like it to be more like 20. So here goes...

Today is day 1 of diet and I started the day with a 2 mile jog (1st in quite some time). I'm taking part in the race for life in 4 weeks and wanted to get my PB time. Unfortunately I received news of an abnormal smear test result last week and looks like I'll be undergoing a LLETZ next Monday so won't be running for 2-3 weeks following that. I'm happy that I'm fit enough that I should just about make it round the 5K track but kicking myself for not starting real training sooner. I'll be keeping up the fitness on my exercise bike instead!

It's 11am and nothing to eat since...
