Not bothered by that as it was expected. Friday - disaster. I ate like a lunatic but was careful on the alcohol. I had to go on the carbs because my stomach was so sore. I took a nexium as think the alcohol hit my tummy hard on a fast day even though I didn't drink a huge amount the night before. I woke up during the night in pain so no sleep lead to lack of energy which meant over eating usually. But on this occassion I had food prepared for low carb but couldn't face it - needed plain food. Then the nexium hit and I was able to hit proper food but the day wasn't great:

8am:bagel (200)
10am:150gm goats cheese (200)
11am:hunky dory crisps (230)
12: 2 choc digestives (160)
2pm:zucchini pasat with ricotta & pesto (200)
730pm: bottle white wine (500), crisps & snacks ( 1000)

I was at a party and obviously didn't eat dinner. So the total defo goes to over 2k - I haven't the energy to add it as I got in from the Anne summers party at 3am -I will feel this tomorrow for...

Hello Blog. It doesn't seem so easy to do blogs on the new forum site. I don't know why, but I've certainly stopped. I haven't blogged since September. It is now mid November and Monday fast day for me. Still haven't lost any weight since last summer. Still it's nearly summer again so I live in hope. I have recently altered my fasting routine. I started off with 3 small meals a day. Then I went to miso soup in the early afternoon and dinner. Then I went nothing until dinner. Now I'm doing 'early dinner'. I found myself reaching out for biscuits and butter or nuts while I was cooking dinner and I think that compromised my 500 calories.In a short while I'm going to make a frittata with smoked salmon and capers and dill. Dill from the garden. Eggs from the chooks. That's all good. I'll prepare some potatoes for the OH but I won't have any. Lettuce salad perhaps, with dressing.

I have been making my christmas presents today. We pulled apart the object to see how it was made and the inside...

I knew I would gain some weight while on vacation...it was only one week but I certainly ate too much. To counter act this I weighed when I got home and fasted 4 days last week...only feeding on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Today I weighed. So few calories and only -1 lb weight loss for the whole week! Maybe the extra fasting (3:4) was not the best idea for post vacation weight.
This week I am back to 4:3. I feel really good after a fast...I will not give up.

Well earlier fears of my very reduced appetite were premature. I did just fine eating this weekend! Today is a fast day, and only slightly more challenging that past ones, but mostly because I am home by myself unexpectedly and that almost always triggers a feeding frenzy-not sure why. I also have some things to do that I don't particularly want to do, and yes that will trigger a feeding frenzy as well. But so far so good-as far as the feeding frenzy goes, I am still doing some serious work avoidance by sitting at the computer now. :oops:

ok, off I go, there are chores to be done.

I was waiting for my car to be fixed, so had a couple of hours to kill. I hadn't eaten anything so thought I might fast today and then do Friday as well. But got to boots and saw the sushi. I know it's not the best you can buy but I had to have it. Sat by the river munching and enjoying the sunshine. Love the flexibility of 5.2. And my son got a job today he's only 17 well done him. It's not what we would have wanted our son to be doing. It's in a meat packaging factory. I'm looking forward to the cut price beef and lamb! But he got it all by himself. So passed driving test and got a job within 4 weeks. Another reason not to fast today. Wine will be drunk :oops: tonight.
