Well, I am a bit behind with this. The week has been and continues to be busy, but I am taking a break before lunch to update this.

Continuing from my previous blog entry, I had another "good" eating day on Tuesday. Very little snacking. I kept occupied in the evening, which of course helped. I made some nutritious dried fruit and nut balls - all sorts of ingredients and they taste good for you. Ideally supposed to be an alternative to me eating chocolate, tho that hasn't quite worked, but they have been an alternative to eating dried fruit and nuts separately, and I think have helped me limit the quantity I would usually eat.

I have done more evening snacking than ideally I would like the last two evenings, but both days I didn't eat until mid afternoon, and I was very active both days, so it is possible that the evening eating was meeting a genuine need. I certainly don't feel like I am putting on weight and, apart from the chocolate, my food choices are nutritious. I do need...

Well, I feel much better today! Was it because of a successful fast day? Was it being in control of my eating? Somehow I was able to not eat after dinner. Still can't work out what is happening in my head/body that means sometimes I can resist evening eating, and other times I can't.

Haven't had too much food today. Yet. Hard boiled egg and muesli with milk for brekkie. Busy morning with the painting class and then off to lunch with the women from the group. Had a very interesting salad whose ingredients I can't recall apart from kale and grilled halloumi. And that's been it for today and I am about to make dinner (roast chook and steamed veg). Oh, have had a glass of Cab Sav.

So not much to report on today.

Well, the "miseries/ mild depression" continued through the rest of the day yesterday, and I certainly used food hoping it would be a comfort - not that that worked, because I know it doesn't, I just felt bad about overeating and also had the discomfort of a distended belly to put up with!!! But that didn't stop me. I ate dinner when I didn't fancy it at all, because of all the afternoon snacking, and then continued to eat in the evening...

Instead of doing anything productive during the afternoon, I caught up with the TV series that we had missed on our 2 nights out during the week. That was okay, they were all very good shows.

I am not beating myself up over my eating behaviour though. It was only one day and generally I have been going okay. And I am aiming to have a fast day today, with my usual fast day rules - put off eating for as long as possible, but then have sufficient food so as to not go to bed hungry. Will see how I go.

Walked the dogs very late this morning,...

IPad is on a go slow...

For first time ever, I slept almost all the way thru the theatre performance the other night. Once upon a time this was unheard of, but in the last few months I have generally felt sleepy at the theatre, and sometimes dozed, though nothing like this. I don't think my overnight sleep has got any worse, though it is pretty bad as I wake frequently.

Woke the next morning feeling so hungry. Had to eat before I walked the dogs, also a first. Then needed more brekky on my return. Treated myself to toast and marmalade - yum yum yum. Managed to stop at 2 pieces. Ate out for lunch. Normal dinner. Some chocolate. Felt exhausted. Warm and windy day, which didn't help.

Had longish period of wakefulness during the night, despite the exhaustion and earlyish night. Feel totally drained today. Lost patience far too quickly with my dad, and screamed and swore at him. Oh dear. PCA came in having heard all. SOOOOO embarrassing. Serves me right. That'll learn me!!!

Have tried to...

Well, I managed the fast day okay. More like a BSD fast day, but that is fine. Had chicken curry with lots of veg plus peanuts, apple and sultanas, which up the cals, but make for a filling meal. The usual orange and one piece of chocolate after. I might have had a hard boiled egg during the day?

Felt like I was back on track, and managed not to overeat yesterday. Didn't have brekkie as had exercise class and ran out of time beforehand, so just went straight to lunch. Normal dinner, and did have supper once home from seeing my fave lyric tenor, David Hobson, in concert. That was fine tho. Perhaps a bit more chocolate eaten as part of dessert, but that was okay.

Today I had a late brekkie - my usual - after the cycle ride. An absolutely glorious weather day today - we deserve one! Did some gardening until lunchtime (late lunch) and kept busy with chores and a charcoal drawing (have just started painting classes and need lots of practice!). Dinner underway as I write, and we are off to...
