After work I've told my son we need to *gulp* clean his bedroom. It's a pit in there. He's disgusting and I've given up. The main aim is to ship out all the stuff he doesn't use any more to clear some room. I've already got a stack of stuff on eBay which is selling pretty well so hopefully I'll get a load more on tonight too. Then his pocket money will become conditional on him keeping it tidy as he's more than happy to live in squalor!

I also want to trial run a recipe I'm making for a Christmas party which is a sort of layered, cheesy, veggie pie. Last year the veggie option ran down so quickly there nearly wasn't enough for the veggies so if I have to make lots I want to see how long it will take (and how good the thing actually turns out!). My own dinner will be a rather uninspired pasta packet mix - I'm trying to get rid of food that's been hanging around for a long time.

Happy Friday :-)
STILL trying to catch up with the post-holiday laundry!! So, putting one or two wash loads on today. A bit of work :-( if I can tear myself away from the forum and then I have to clean out the chicken coop as it hasn't been done since before we went on holiday...just waiting for it to stop raining before I tackle that!

Looking forward to a glass of wine tonight as I've been off the alcohol all week in order to recover from the over-consumption during my holiday, hic!
The weekly laundry looms this morning. This afternoon OH and I will bus out to "the mall" to bring home our first HDTV (I researched the various models there on Wednesday). After dumping big box at home, we'll walk to "Irish" pub for supper--last time I had the appetizer baked brie in crust for my whole meal--yum!

Then I have to prepare my head for setting up TV over weekend (family nerd/handyman here). Won't ask son for help unless we really have to!
Our local pub/restaurant does the whole baked Camembert, but they stuff 4 cloves of garlic into the Camembert before baking. Its served with what seems to be half a loaf of seeded granary style bread cut into huge chunks and a pot of softened butter. Its lush!
