I'm very late checking in today as it's almost 10pm here. I've had a good fast day, easier than normal for a Thursday. I hope your ear feels better soon Sallyo. Good luck to all who are just starting and good night to everyone finishing. :sleepy:
I take a couple of teaspoons of psyllium husks most days and did so this morning ... It's only just occurred to me as a newbie faster ( this is my third) that this could have broken my fast

Anyone know if it does??
@raggy, I wouldn't worry about it. A couple of teaspoons hardly counts. Others may think differently, but that's my opinion.
My new experiment of eating early dinner on Thursday fast is working really well. About to go to bed now and completely satisfied by my 5pm dinner and haven't needed to eat anything else since then. Was tempted by the idea of white wine, but held off. Have a good day everyone who is starting their Thursdays. It's all over here.
I'm fasting today - 2nd attempt at this and 2nd fast of this attempt! Just had Oatbran porridge for Brunch and will have tuna for dinner around 7pm. I don't think I could go the whole day without eating so I'm doing Brunch and Dinner.
good morning! I'm fasting today as well. I hope everyone has a great day
@raggy, Psyllium is a mix of soluble and insoluble fiber, so while it is technically a carb and has calories, I don't believe those calories are fully digested, so chances are it has a negligible effect on your fast.
A little late in the day but I'm in today. Just got home and had my dinner and it was tasty :heart: . I'm doing better today than Tuesday ... dare I say this could be getting easier.
I hope all you fasters are doing good, until Monday ... keep counting :victory:
@peebles Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge, being the newbie that I am, I'm still learning and every bit of advice is welcome :smile:
it has been a great day and its almost supper time. I have not had a headache at all yet today and have had lots of energy. This is so different from my other fasts. The only thing I did different was make my bigger meal at lunch time at about 260 calories. It is now almost 7pm and I still haven't had supper because I'm not hungry. I'm wondering if maybe for my body the higher calories need to be earlier in the day. I'm planing a small supper once I get hungry before bed. Interesting stuff. Thanks for listening
It was a very easy fast for me today, too. At 6:30 OH said, "Shouldn't you be going to get yourself something to eat?" I had gotten so wrapped up I'd forgotten.

OTOH, it was so freaking cold here today! It's going to snow tonight and was in the low 40s, at that temperature where our house always feels colder than any other time. I shivered through the morning and hope that burnt off a few more calories!

lol it is going to be 6*f here tonight and we have 17 inches of snow. But I started the wood stove and we are nice and toasty. They says Saturdays high is going to be 10*f... winter sure came early this year
@Canoegal,

I would commiserate except I know that poeple up your way pride themselves on how cold it gets. Vermont, where I used to live was the same way. We would have been dissappointed did we not register colder than Fairbanks at least once.

But I was looking at the weather map last night and saw that it was snowing in Nashville TN and freezing in Alabama, so that reconciled me to our fate. We only got a dusting and it's supposed to go up to 40 today, so I feel quite lucky.

But it's a good thing oil prices are dropping so steeply this year, because it looks like we in the North East are going to be burning through a lot of it!
