I'm back for a Monday fast. Not been on the boards for months and have slipped back into bad habits. Now have 3k to lose before hols in June.
Im fasting today. around 250 in and only 9.40 here but I never have lunch so its fine. Does anyone else find themselves seriously over eating on the weekend? I mean, far too much food. Worried its going to ruin all of my hard work :(
I'm in today. First tummy rumble was at 8.30 this morning which was not a good sign! Mustn't slack off though, despite a great weigh in result last week. Good luck all the Monday fasters :clover:
Im in midday this side and i prefer to eat all my calories at dinner, wil have a cup of tea around lunch time. good luck everyone!!
@chinchin: my wrist is in half plaster and I have been taken off cooking and cleaning duties. That's part of the reason I'm not going to fast. I've lost control of the kitchen. Ready for some time off too andI hope to come back in April all fresh and inspired. I am not in pain.
That sounds like a good plan @Sallyo.

I am in today. Did a 15 minute run this morning, first since I hurt my knee and was OK. I bought new running shoes yesterday and they feel great. Been tidying up as MIL is arriving the weekend for a visit as Eldest is in a school production of Our House so she is coming to watch him. Gives the excuse to have a good clean up as the house has been neglected while I have been looking after my Grandparents.
Have got Tuna with Spinach and quark filled lasagne rolls in a butternut squash sauce. Probably have carrots or a small side salad with it too for dinner later. So far one cup of coffee will have another later while I watch Neighbours. (Really enjoying the 30th year episodes).
Well, @Sallyo, there is nothing for it but to kick back and let the world go by. :)
Glad you're not in pain!
I'm here for a Monday fast too. I started 5:2 last Monday and found the 2 fast days OK but had problems with the other days. During the week, I struggled to eat enough and was way under my TDEE of 2177 calories. However, the weekend was a different story.. and not a good one. I only drink alcohol at the weekend, not binge drinking but about 10 units in total and when I drink alcohol, I want to eat cheese, crisps, chocolate and generally lose my willpower. So, I have overindulged big time and am really glad to be back fasting today. Does anyone else have this problem? I don't want to give up alcohol completely because for me, it's one of life's pleasures and I drink well within safety guidelines. How do you resist snacking?
If youre not in pain @sallyo and off cleaning/ cooking duties, i' m glad there's an upside to this..tho i bet its all a pain in the bum nevertheless!.... x thinking of you x
Monday faster here too. I need a good repair day after 2 days of eating all manner of junk. I don't know why I see the weekend as a free for all?? Sigh..... Once the weather gets nice I'll be on the golf course all weekend and not sitting around the house picking at this and that!

Glad you are not in pain Sallyo & enjoy your break from kitchen duties!
Wishing everyone a happy fasting day! First of two consecutive days again here. I am not having a good day, I feel feverish and have a nasty cough (had it all weekend so have barely slept) and one of my microscopes has broken down due to users doing the wrong thing. I am hoping that I can manage complete the fasts this week. I will do my best!

I'm exactly the same. Had the parents round for Sunday lunch, was really controlled and only had one roast potato and parsnip, no sticky toffee pudding and two glasses of red wine. Walked the dog and when I got back, watched The Theory of Everything so enjoyed another couple of glasses of red which meant all self control went out the window and I demolished a family size bag of Doritos
@Clementine17 have you thought about either having less units or splitting it up through the week ?

Like you, for me good whisky and beer is one of life's pleasures and one I have no intention of ever giving up , but I know I have a certain point where all caution goes to the wind around food.. and that is way before I would ever be drunk ( I haven't actually been drunk for years) but its the point where you get what I call happy relaxed , when your head kind of breaths a little sigh and all stresses fade ....and it seems to take my willpower with it !
I kinda' have one foot in and one out of today's planned fast. I don't normally fast when my husband is around and he has the day off for us to spend together. But I do seem to be falling into my fasting pattern. So far only black coffee and no appetite for lunch. I'm planning a regular evening meal for us rather than a low cal meal.

Good luck all! :clover:

Hope
I'm in as usual today. A pleasing loss of 0.8 lb for me today but golly do I feel hungry today. Just going to have 1/2 an oxo cube in hot water - I hope that does the trick!
