Wrist out of plaster. I can't drive for another couple of weeks and I can't lift anything heavier than a cup of tea. But I can type! Whoppee and I can play the piano! A bit wonky on the left hand and stretching an octave is a bit tiring, but I'm getting there! Thanks @Katharina. Lovely to be fasting together today.
Hey! Sally @sallyo how great to see you in the DODO tent. And, yes, you're right: Day on/Day off!! Hopefully you'll find it easy enough and who knows, you may even enjoy it!!
2.5 lbs Karen? @rawkaren thats great. Thanks for sharing that with us because that will really give us the encouragement we need! Well, we're only on Fast 2 so at the moment it feels like a normal fasting week...doesn't it? It'll be interesting to hear peeps feel on Monday. But we're all in this together, so we'll be fine!
Welcome back Carie @carieoates! Glad you are now with us. I guess you feel a bit strange today, being back in blighty but at least you have a few days left before work and real normalcy kicks in!
Good luck today everyone xxxx

Hello dear DODO'ers!

So lovely to read all your posts. Big congrats to @rawkaren - how thrilling to be so close to 25! Well done you!

Though it is only Day 2, I am feeling really pumped about this challenge! I resisted the idea at first....but then, knowing I react well to joining in a challenge....plus the urgent need to grapple control back from my naughty self, I consulted my diary, saw that it would work/fit in quite well for me....and jumped straight in! I totally agree with the comment about it being hard to get back to fasting after 2 or so days "off", so this way, we are only ever a day away from non-restriction! I have pencilled in all my 15 fasts from April 7th to May 5th....and now plan my social life around whether there is a little "F" on a particular day in my diary!! Obviously, this cannot take into account when something unexpected crops up....but I am hoping mental strength will take over.....

All of my food issues are emotional anyway, so it would be great to think that by the end of this challenge, I will be right back in the fasting groove...fingers crossed!

Have a lovely day everyone! Xx
Right I have 150 calories left for the rest of the day and not sure what to do with them. At home today so easy to manage what I'm eating. I have had a very small chicken breast marinated in garlic and lemon juice, served with cauliflower mash which had spring onions in it and a naughty slice of chopped bacon mixed through. Large punnet of blueberries afterward.
Ive made a monster salad for tonight's family meal. They're having chicken thighs marinated in chipotle and im having salmon with prawns. Yes two lots of fish. Been a great day in terms of not giving in to the urge to eat, had a couple of sticks of celery and loads of fizzy water with a squirt of squash in (no added sugar of course)
Going to daily weigh and input here so that I can see the daily weight on a big screen. Shock horror when I unput this morning gone from a BMI of 26 to 28. Arghhh.
Well done indeed! Daily weighing eh? That'll be interesting ;)
Karen @rawkaren 150 calories left! You could have a couple of boiled eggs...or maybe 40g of dry Cheerios?
I'm like you...I have had my beef Ragu (378 cals). And am wondering what to eat whilst watching tonight's MasterChef :?:
Something egg wise for me tonight with a spectacular salad. I chose egg as I have not eaten a bean today. I'm drowning in builders tea though ...
Oh well done @rawkaren! X and yr meal sounds so tasty too! X
#15 reporting in today for fast #2. Went to the gym this morning and did a 45 min. workout. Trying to get my 10,000 steps in.
Having a pork chop and salad for dinner tonight.
Hope everyone is having a great fasting day..........

Piano is good therapy for fine muscle movements. Definitely keep at it. It's great to hear you're getting better quickly!
Well that went very well. Fasted all day with nothing but squash, tea and two sticks of celery. Then had a mahoosive salad with prawns and salmon. Couldn't finish it. No idea of calories but this morning my weight is down already.
Hi all you dodo's

What a fantastic idea Beany. I have bean really busy and had no time to come here or think about planning meals. Then of course it was Easter and a week out of routine, chocolate eggs, hot cross buns etc. you know the score! I am 2lb above goal so I really need to knock it off. I think I will join in for the rest of the challenge. Starting next week if that's ok. I have bean 16:8'ing whilst maintaining but bad choices through lack of planning and prep time and snacks have begun to creep in so I really need to knuckle down. I am loving the meal ideas on this thread, so when I go shopping tomorrow I will take a list with me and load up on easy, quick to prepare healthy meals. Yesterday I went out for a lovely lunch and had seabass and salmon on a bed of salad. It was very light and I didn't have any dinner, just a cuppa and some yoghurt. I really think that the weather plays a big factor and am keen to get on with it again now that salad days are here again
Oh Wendy Darling @Wendy Darling there you are!! You are very welcome to jump onboard next week. I am thrilled that so many peeps have taken up the Bean Challenge. You will make No. 23...hoorah!!
Well done Oatesy. I knew the weight would fly off pretty quickly. Good luck with your work-out today. I must say your meals always sound so healthy. Today I'm having cauliflower cheese...not as healthy as fish...but very delish!
Yesterday's fast went very well indeed. I only had 468 cals in the end. I had beef ragu and then, later, a bag of Wotsits (90 cals). I even managed to watch Masterchef without too many hunger pangs!
Hope everyone else had a good fast yesterday. Enjoy today, because tomorrow is just around the corner!
Just for you Wendy Darling. Wouldn't want you to feel left out...

Gearing up for tomorrow, my day #2 fast, so soon after fasting yesterday. The thing is with DODO, you can't put it off for another day when something comes up. Like tomorrow someone rang up tonight and is coming for lunch. So I can't put off the fast. I think I'll make pea and ham soup for lunch and then have nothing for tea, or a boiled egg or something very light. And not have breakfast. This is completely different from 5:2!! I tried on those jeans: they did fit me less than 6 months ago. I lost the weight doing 5:2 but now I can't do them up! What a wonderful challenge. Oh, and I'm back walking. Off to find the tent.
