Re: June Solstice Challenge

Good morning too!

Time for me to get back on track after a weekend of too much chocolate. Conscious choice to get rid of the Easter chocolate. Hmm. Also enjoyed some local wine and cheese and bikkies. And some delicious bakery wholegrain bread. Yum. We were away for the weekend, a bit of a mini-break, so did allow myself those indulgences.

But back to it today, hope I can repeat the eating behaviour I was following at the start of last week. Had a bad night sleep-wise last night (too much on my mind) so will have a quiet day today. Looks miserable outside. Dogs are curled up on the bed (oh the luxury of not working, that I am still in bed at 8.30am - sorry about that, I think most active forum members are still working?) but I will get up soon to take them for their morning walk.

Hope the challenges are going well for everyone! :clover:

@cblasz Please add me!! Late arrival....

My challenge is to lose ~6kg (13lb) in 6 weeks....and through various websites and myFitnesspal I've worked out that I would need to eat 5600 cals a week. To get there I need to do 3:4 fast and be as lean and clean as possible on the off days.
I will need to go to the gym at least 4 times a week and do at least 10min cardio, preferably 20-40 min on the bike.

I have a wedding I'm attending at the end of June. I have a dress that is a size 6 which I bought when I managed to lose the most weight about 2 years ago. Its lovely, and I'm hoping the style is not out of date. I want to wear it to the wedding without the seams popping ha ha!

So far I've done OK, but not as fabulously as I had anticipated.
My first fast day (yesterday) I blew out on the 500 cals to 1000 cals by having an extra piece of bread with my soup, apple and almonds.... That's not good, but it is a serious win over the Kettle Chips, chocholate and icecream of previous cutting attempts.

I now need to catch up on everyone else's progress in this challenge :victory:  Hope all are doing well, if not better than me.

Congrats on the loss @Fat_teacher!!!

@Sassy1 - good luck getting back on track, now that the chocolate is gone!

@wakki22 - Welcome! We are happy to have you! That's a pretty steep goal you've got, good luck with it!!

I've planned all my meals out for the week! The only major issue is that I'm going out to dinner with my cousin on Thursday night to a place called the Mecha Noodle bar. I think that's going to be pretty high in carbs! But, I'm planning to fast that day, so the damage shouldn't be too bad!

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Four stars! Yay! Thanks @Cblasz. Mecha Noodle Bar has KFC on their menu. Korean Fried Chicken! Ha!

Hey @Cblasz, I see all the keto crazies are flocking to New London CT next week for Ketofest 2017. I know there's going to be a few speeches about IF and ADF there as well on the Sunday.

That's too funny! It's about an hour away, but I think I'll probably pass!

Sorry I've been away! Crazy busy weekend and yes, I ate a bit more than planned. My loss since last Wednesday is *drum roll* 0.1 lb >.< at least it's not a gain. I had a wedding, a birthday party and then a crazy night out to drive 3 hours to see The Cult play. We didn't get home until 2am that night (Sunday night) and I was either sleeping or a zombie all day on Monday. Consequently, I was too busy yesterday to log on, but I had a reasonably successful fast day until I said "F* it" and had a mini bottle of prosecco with a small bag of chips/crisps. Sigh. Oh well, even counting all the points I only had 20 points of the 30 ww says you MUST eat in a day, so roughly 1000 calories.

I have no major roadblocks in the week ahead - just a mother's day brunch followed by pedicures for the four mothers. That should be nice and relaxing :-)

thanks @cblasz!!

#11 @wakki22 - lose 13 lbs. Cool! I like the number 13!!
How do I get stars????

I'm good so far with 2lbs down - don't want to get too excited as it may only be water weight.

Everyone is doing so well :victory: (from what I've managed to catch up on) Woo hoo1

@Tracieknits - not gaining after that weekend, is definitely a win! Enjoy your mother's day!

@wakki22 - You get a star for every pound you lose! do you want me to count those 2 lbs??

Today I didn't feel like eating well, instead of my salad I wanted a panini and I desperately want one of the new Midnight Mocha Mint frappuccinos at Starbucks! But, i did get the salad and I got a green iced tea at Starbucks. I will save my splurging for dinner tomorrow night (which I'm hearing the place we are going is incredible!) and the weekend!

Off to the zoo today on a school outing so I will post a picture today to let you all know what you're missing.
My high school reunion was recently announced for October so now I have a little more motivation!
Had a great 26 hour rest from food yesterday then enjoyed TWO full cans of Campbell's Pea & Ham soup for dinner. 560 cal.

I assume the Taronga Zoo, @fat_teacher? Do you get the ferry there? It's a great zoo, though I have only visited it a couple of times. Hope the kids behave! Have fun.

(I used to love that pea and ham soup - haven't had it in ages. Was a very convenient lunch at work, though I eventually moved to just having salads. Not as tasty tho.)

Yes, @Sassy1, we are off to Taronga Park. It's usually like herding cats so we'll see how we go today. On the bus now! Wish me luck!
Love that soup. At 1170kj a can, it's a good option. Especially in winter.

@cblasz oooh - maybe only one star for now. I'm moving up and down on the second pound.
Well done on not splurging on the panini and frappuccino yesterday!!!

I didn't do as well in the evening, it was my non fast day - 1400 cals.... not quite the 1000 I had planned on off days.

Today I'm fasting again so hopefully by the weekend, I can request another star. (I love the star reward thing!! It's so motivating!!)

Good luck @Fat_Teacher - its raining and pretty miserable out there - may the force be with you!

We survived the outing to the zoo. We were fortunate that it didn't rain while we were there, @Wakki22.
Lots of walking - that was good!
