Re: Your super summer challenge

RR checking in .. I have stayed the same this week , for which I am entirely grateful but my body fat has gone down slightly which tells me something about keeping carbs down ..

Must try harder this week but its going to be a challenge with a beer festival on Friday .. that won't do much for my carb count

......hollow laugh.......I'm up 1.8lbs on last week.....but I've been pretty good....so there you have it - the swings & roundabouts of weightloss strikes again!

This puts me 0.2 of a pound down on starting this challenge a fortnight ago.....

Hmmmm......better remind myself I am playing the long game......

@Hazelnut20! Do not despair! This has happened to me too so we're probably normal :0)
Crack on with Plan A, keep a calorie/carb/protein record to pin yourself down to it, I'm trying 1400 cals/50g max carbs/60g average protein a day - not always successfully, but each morning I start fresh. Have a measure round yourself and record that too, it can change while the scale doesn't.
We can do this honey pie, onward as ever \O/

Aw, thanks @azureblue for your wise words and support. I know you are right.....

Sadly, I let my disappointment at having gained weight get the better of me yesterday....in food form.

Drawing a line under it today....and starting afresh.....which in itself is progress for me, because usually one non-fast day leads to another and another....and before I know it, I've stopped fasting. Not this time though!

Onwards and downwards!

Don't worry nutty @Hazlenut20 we all have the odd off day...and don't forget water weighs too. Next week you'll see better results I'm sure,

Thanks for your encouragement @nursebean!

One non-fast day led to another yesterday....but am pleased to report that I am back in the proverbial saddle today....nothing has passed my lips yet today.....other than fluids.....

Hey ho.......

@Hazelnut20 you'll get there, I have found if I fail fasting mid-week it's best to focus on achieving a successful fast as soon as possible - often at the weekend as it is a more relaxing time for me.
@CandiceMarie marvellous news, so glad to hear you had a fab weekie. Do you feel good?
I'm off to bed as I'm extremely tired. The kitchen door closed at 8pm. :victory:
Well done everyone. See you tomorrow.

I feel bad for not posting any weigh-ins here. I'm afraid to step on the scales after my holiday! I know it will be shocking. I am trying to do all the right things - 4:3 fasting and, more importantly for me these days, keeping non-fast days under control - so I don't think it's a problem that I'm not weighing. I think another week of fasts and I'll be brave enough to step on the scales again.

Congratulations @CandiceMarie! Well done!
As for me ... Argh! I didn't lose anything this week, except a centimetre off my waist (not what I want) - 72.8Kgs just the same as last week. Two good fasts, no major differences in what I ate the other days...
Ah well, could be anything... I AM getting more muscly (is that even a word?) again..., could be water retention..., so let's just wait and see...

@MaryAnn good luck with your week ahead, I agree ditch the scales and focus on your goal. Do you have a plan for keeping non fast days under control?
Maintaining - I'm up half a pounds this week, so next week's goal is half a pound down.

Thanks, @Lizbean! My plan is to count calories on non-fast days. It won't last forever, but I think it will help to track for awhile...

so this week another 0.25 lb on. Perhaps I should have gone to the loo first ( Hollow LOL) I am now 2lb up on my start weight of this challenge. Never mind better luck this week I suppose.
I am back to running/jogging 3 times a week for 25 minutes though so much happier about that.
