I'm going to try for a fast today. Sipper tonight will be a recipe that @Juliana.Rivers posted on our Fastday Facebook page. I have made it a couple of times and it's very tasty

I'm going to chargrill a chicken breast with it.
Lunch will be an omelette, courtesy of our new chickens.
Let the new challenge begin for real, today!

Can I still join?
I'm 73.3 Kilos at the moment and would like to be under 70 (even if just) by the end of July.
Cheers

Hi all,

I saw this challenge, bit the bullet and went and weighed myself. I sort of was putting off measuring/ weighing as long as possible, as I'm weird I guess.

Anyway - current weight is 12 st 7 ib
To attain a "healthy bmi of 25" I'd need to weigh 11 st 6 ib.

So that's my challenge for the next 8 weeks. No idea if I'll do it but I'll try. Good luck everyone.

Partner's birthday followed by an old friend coming to stay - not the greatest start to the Challenge! Weight's maintaining within my recent range, but at the top now, not the bottom. Today's my real start - morning at my allotment kept my mind off food very effectively & I've just discovered there are only 33cals in 100 grams of just picked & still sun-warm strawberries.

Cup of tea now while I watch the French Open final. While my first Super Summer weigh-in tomorrow is almost certain to be a change in the wrong direction, hopefully it won't be too bad.

Birthday cake
Hello summer faster, how do I cope with this....was DD birthday and with a big family BBQ we have associated cake and desert to finish. Had an almost zero carb day today (leftover salads and meat) until I had a lump of the fruity delight.

PS the cake was filled with smarties, which fell out when it was cut,

I would really like to join the summer challenge if still possible please. I'm going on holiday in the middle of July and I would love to lose about 8 pounds before then. I really need to get going with fasting properly again so I can fit into more of my summer clothes and feel better again. I'll be fasting on Mondays and either Wednesdays or Thursdays. I've had quite a treaty weekend which finished off with Oreo cupcakes which my daughter really wanted to make - think I'm quite looking forward to fasting tomorrow now! Really hoping for a good loss this week - I'll weigh myself on Friday and report back.

Good luck everyone, this should be a great challenge for us all

Wow - those cakes look fantastic carrieoates!

First weigh-in of the SSC and I've put on 1/4 pound! Not quite an epic fail, more a calculated one. This week I'm going to behave!

So good to read all the posts above. I've been away for the weekend and NOT been as mindful as usual! I'm UP a pound this morning, but you've all inspired me to shift it asap.
You are a very motivational and inspirational group of people!

Start weight one week ago = 76kgs
Today = 74.8kgs
so a good start well made, a wayhey weekend now back to my proper routine of 1400 calories, under 50g carbs, around 60g protein and also some good fats like butter, coconut and olive oil, all within 16:8 fasting.
This week will no doubt be less exciting for weight loss but I'm getting the hang of it quite happily :0)
Good luck wonderful fasters everywhere \O/

Pants pants pants pants pants

My first weigh in and I have put on half a pound even though I actually feel thinner this week so that puts me at 9st4.6 :-(

I guess it proves one thing I only have to go slightly over TDEE and I start putting weight back on again even though I was really active all over the weekend.

Well done everyone who has lost so far :like:
