I usually eat vegetables, a little fruit and potatoes on my fast days. Eating in this way you get to eat lots of food which is nice, but it contains very little fat.
Could the absence of fat be a problem or can I continue with it?
No problems you eat what you feel like. Except that fat does help you to feel fuller. Anecdotal evidence from fellow faster's does point to having carbs (the fruit and potatoes) on a fast day will make you hungrier as it triggers blood sugar bounces. Most people go for vegetables and protein with a small amount of fat (usually in the protein anyway) on fast days. You can still eat big, but it tends to be more satisfying for a longer period of time.
