Hi all,

I've been loving my Body analyer scales I bought from Lidl UK months ago, not least because the scales reader screen detaches from the floor scales to hold in your hand (v useful for the morning weigh in when I can't find my glasses!)

Sadly though it's bust now so can anyone recommend another make? Under £40 please!

thanks!
Sounds like yours were a great set. With the detachable readout. I've got some cheap salter ones which give fat and water %. But I think best are the wythings ones. Reviewed by @Moogie they are wireless and upload direct to your PC etc.
When I looked into it, all of the home scales, even the more expensive ones, have people complaining they are somewhat inconsistent and inaccurate. It appears for a set of home scales, you have to accept imperfection.
I'm very happy with the Salter ones I got from Amazon via the Shop and support the forum link (http://www.52fastdiet.co.uk/shop.php). These scales: http://astore.amazon.co.uk/shiningforce ... B003X3A3EY

They seem to give a very consistent weight reading (jumping on and off or moving them around does not result in different weights) and they give body fat %. I don't know how accurate it is but again it seems fairly consistent and has certainly been going down :like:
I'm very happy with this Omron
http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0033AGBW0/ref=pe_385721_37038051_TE_dp_1
It's sometimes on sale, I only gave 46. Maybe you can find an offer somewhere at 40.
I'm very happy with my Salter ones (Argos, around £20) however I think the Withings ones (which are about 6x the price) are more accurate and I love that they transmit so much info to my tablet to track along with my Withings Pulse activity data! The scales also get updates from time to time which gives them additional features. I have an update due to install on mine (which is easily done via the app on my tablet).

I bought these too and I am very happy with them....really easy to use and accurate (have compared them too medical scales and the readings are the same).
