I don't know if I have lost any weight yet but I am being more active and eating sensibly on my non fasting days so fingers crossed!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!
If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Lots of information and support here via the forum and the LEARN pages. Do continue to join - or start - the Fasting Today threads on your fast days for (hopefully) extra encouragement - and it can help you stick to the fast to post about how your day is going.
Weight loss is generally not quick on 5:2, but the main benefit will be if you can change your weight management behaviour - as you are doing with the greater activity and more sensible eating.
Think about using the Tracker to record your change in weight, waist measurement, body fat etc if you think that may be useful / motivating to you. It is interesting to look at the trackers of others too, for those willing to share.
Good luck and best wishes!
PS It is a lot quieter here than it once was, and there have been a few new starters to the forum lately, which may explain why not all have had immediate replies...
I do think it would be a good idea if there was a standard reply to all newbies that the approving site administrator posted, giving them a welcome and some basic info. Then if the newbie acknowledges that reply, then the rest of us could chip in if we want. I have lost count of the number of newbies I have greeted, and sometimes taken quite a bit of time with the reply, and we never hear from them a second time.
Cheers!
I am going to try and increase my activity levels a bit next week so hopefully I will keep losing.
What sort of activity are you aiming to increase? Best wishes for it all.
