Hi!
Newbie here. Am really nervous to try it but on the advice of my dr I’m giving it a go! I need to lose around 9 stone. Any top tips? Specifically for meals on fast day in the evening. THANKS!

Hi and welcome @Annababe80 Im not the best person to advise on post- fast meals,as i dont cook much and generally end up having scrambled eggs with salad. I hope someone else can give you better ideas. Just want to wish you luck with your fasting and hope it goes well for you. It was something i didnt htink i could ever do,but its not as bad as it may sound, and its always good to know we are resting and repairing our systems while we fast ..just go easy on your non fast days as it can be tempting to just go overboard! Try to eat healthy on non fast days and maybe just a small treat here and there. XX

Yes 2 eggs are handy, maybe some stir fry mushrooms/tomatoes/scallions/peppers, some ham and herbs either a scramble or small omelette. A pinch of garam masala (sp?) spice is nice touch if not much else flavour going on. As well as ham I have had smoked salmon with eggs (left over from Christmas!)

Some fresh salmon with brocolli. I often get a tail of salmon and poach in water.

A decent selection of salad with good amount of fresh herbs = good summer option. Balsamic vinegar to dress and maybe some cooked chicken chopped thru.

At the moment I am 'breaking' my fast about 3 30pm with a good bowl of veg soup. I made up a big batch and freeze single portions. A meal around 6pm and then save a few calories for bedtime so as not too be too hungry to sleep.
