Fasting today?

hey all, I'm in today, just had coffee and going to make my usual pot o' green tea. Noticing my mind resisting fasting/light days lately, but I just overrule it and say "One day at a time!" And the ever-popular "you can have it tomorrow!"

I've found some things are helping me to curtail nibbling in the evening:
    Eating something protein/fat earlier (hardboiled egg is ideal) than before
    Splitting my evening meal into two parts rather than one large meal
    Remembering to make and have low cal fibrous veggies with dinner
    NOT having certain foods, even though they are low cal I have trouble stopping (i.e., popcorn)
    Saving my "reward/dessert" for a bedtime snack; usually this is yogurt with fruit and melted dark chocolate. I get to look forward to it and then go to bed.

Mind you, this applies only to fasting/light days; on normal days, I eat what I want. Doesn't mean I never stop and ask myself, "Am I actually hungry?" or some such question, but I don't limit carbs or sweets etc. Fortunately, I like protein foods (mine are pretty limited too, being vegetarian). Yesterday (normal day) I had tofu, lentil soup, and bread (with butter) for lunch (my main meal).

I think your tips are great for every day! Doesn't mean you always have to apply them, but they could be very useful if you don't want to snack in the evening.
