The FastDay Forum

Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hello,
50 something female with strong family history of heart disease having another go at the 5:2 way of life.
First around was about 4 years ago. This time feels different - I am in the 'zone' I think. On a fast day - it is just hunger pangs - not the end of the world!
Welcome back, @Zaali! You are absolutely right about being in the 'zone'. It does make fasting so much easier. I'm sorry that 5:2 didn't work for you last time but I hope that you have more success with it at your second attempt. :clover:

The forum is a lot quieter than when you were here last but there are still a number of 'old timers' on here and a trickle of newcomers joining us. Depending on your fast days, you may not always find a 'Fasting Today' thread but please feel free to start one. I find that it helps, once I have made a 'public' commitment, to keep me focussed for the day.

There is still lots of very good advice on here and, if you have any questions, please just ask. Even if we can't answer them we will probably be able to point you in the right direction.

Good luck. Onwards and downwards!
Welcome back @Zaali!!
