Welcome, @zesty!

I lost about the same amount you're aiming for, at about the same age, using 4:3. But I also agree that you have to find what works for you and be prepared to be flexible. Sounds like you're aware of all of this :-)

Initial weight: 191.6
01/03 - 191.6
01/16 - 187.8 (-3.8, Total -3.8)
01/23 - 185.6 (-2.2, Total -6)
01/30 - 183.0 )-2.6, Total - 8.6)

Still heading in the right direction! Happy with last week's loss, even after a 'normal' weekend.

Speaking of which, so - I've visited friends this past weekend, and ate relatively 'normal' - which of course means a little more frequent, a little more carbs and a little more alcohol than the last couple of weeks. I suffered TERRIBLE indigestion - all weekend long! Anyone else experiencing this?

Well done!!!

Over the fall, I gradually resumed old, unhealthy eating habits until Christmas, when my diet was just terrible. For the first time, I noticed indigestion, sluggishness and my skin no looking great. This all cleared up within a few days of going back to healthy eating in January.

Hi Zesty, you must be feeling pleased with your progress - good for you!

Too much sugar and fat certainly upsets my digestive system, and can make me feel sluggish. But I rarely suffer from indigestion. I feel better for minimising sugar and less healthy fats, as I have commented elsewhere, but I can have a "moderate" amount and feel okay, if overall I don't eat too much. Unfortunately nothing I do with my diet helps my skin at all... :frown:

Hope this coming week continues well for you. :clover:

Thanks guys! I can't wait for my first mini-milestone (which is in my head) of hitting a 10lb loss or weight of <180. Should get there this week, I think.

Yesterday's fast went well, and I'm back on track, already felt better this morning.

@Sassy1, do you have specific issues with your skin, if you don't mind me asking? I haven't noticed any difference in my skin yet, I'm hoping that eventually the changed diet will help me with EXTREME dry scalp - I get some kind of scalp psoriasis from time to time - and it extends to my forehead. And of course I can't keep my hands off it, and keep on picking at it, grrrrr :(

02/06 - 181.0 (-2, Total -10.6)

Woo-hoooo - first mini-goal reached - 10lbs!! Losing the first 10 is such a great step, because at this point I can definitely see the difference and more importantly, fit so much better in my clothes!

Next goal is to get under 180.

Which of the admins (I assume there are a few :) ) can help me - my progress charts are all over the place - they don't reflect my data at all.

02/13 - 177.4 (-3.6, Total -14.2)

I am sure you all know how excited I am about the loss so far!
This was my biggest loss in one week. I think what contributed to it, was that my period ended during this week as well, and I always tend to hold on to a lot of water during, which my body get rid of at the end.

BUT I'M FINALLY UNDER 180!!

Side note - I watched the Grammy's last night, I'm still so in awe of Adele, she's one of my favorite artists ever!

oh also... my progress charts are still all messed up, can anyone help?

02/23 - 174.8 (-3.2 (Total -16.8)

So, yesterday was supposed to be a normal eating day, but I got stuck in a poker tournament for 5 hours (and didn't eat), then had to rush to a fundraiser - where there were only cocktails and no food - and only got home at 9:30pm and wasn't hungry at all. So, other than the two cocktails I had, yesterday was another almost complete fast day! And I think the scale is showing that.

Anyhows - My BMI is finally under 30 (29.99 - which makes me SO happy) and I'm 3lbs away from my lightest weight since 2013!

My next goal is to be at or just under `170 when I go visit my friend in Michigan (March 21), so it gives me 3 weeks for +- 5lbs, which might be a challenge, but I think it's doable.

Doing the happy dance today!
