Turning over a new leaf...

Hello all,
I have struggled with comfort eating/ food addiction most of my life. I've found intermittent fasting to be the only way of eating that I can really stick to for more than a week. Plus, it sensitises me to real hunger and satiety. Its like pressing the reset button.
I started my first 36 hour water fast in April of this year and managed to do that 1x week along with a fairly balanced diet in between. I did that for a 5 weeks stretch (which is a record for me). I lost about 5 kilos, tummy looked flatter and my skin improved. It was fairly easy, I felt good and in control. I did lose momentum and fell off track a few times....

I'm now getting on track and hope to share my journey with my fellow faster, and get inspiration and moral support joining here.

My current stats as of 21/10/17;

5'5 (165 cm)
73 kilograms (160 lb), UK dress size is 14
BMI is 26.8

Goal;
60 kg (132.2 lb) and dress size 10 to 12.
BMI of 22

I find that water fasting works better for me over the limited calorie approach... as it makes me more hungry. I'm going to be water fasting 36 hours once per week. The other days, following a clear cut meal plan. To summarise: eating two substantial but nutritionally balanced main meals... with three drinks of choice e.g coffee/ wine/ tea, a 250 kcal snack of whatever I fancy and unlimited grazing on fresh veggies. I might tweak in the future...

Welcome to the forums!!! You're not the only one to find the limited calorie plan just makes you hungrier. It certainly sounds like you have a great plan lined up :-)
