I seem to have some sort of "snowflake effect" happening. Where small clear dots are drifting down over my screen. I'm finding this very distracting when reading the boards. Is it possible to turn it off?

Yes, if you look at the bottom of your screen there is a small message i nwhat looks like a snowdrift. If you click there you can turn it off. Not much snow in South Australia I'm thinking?!

I'd happily trade the bitter cold for the snow. We are expecting -31C (-24F) Sun night for a low and a high temp of -25.5C (-14F) on Monday. That is actual air temp without the wind chill factored in.

Loved the snow effect leading up to Christmas but after a month of the real thing and temps < -20C every day ( and at least 2 months of "real " winter left!!!! ), I AM DONE. Thanks for the effects Moogie but it's turned off now. Any hope for a "warm" effect for us frozen NORTH Americans??

We had a huge dump of snow in Boston the past 24 hours and its just getting colder ... it's frigid out, the forecast for -20C which feels like -29C tonight!! stay in, wrap up warm.

Glad you found how to stop it, I tried to make it simple.

No snow here on the south coast of Blighty, just mighty storms and flooding (thank goodness we always choose houses well above sea level, it's been pretty awful around here lately).

I like the snow effect - and I'd gladly trade some of the real thing for all this blooming rain. It seems like it's been raining for ever in the south east of england. I'm lucky with where we are, we've not had the flooding some places have but everything and everywhere is just wet.

Just finished shoveling 14 inches of the most beautiful fluffy snow that I've seen in a long time. Just think this is the rain we didn't have all summer. My sleeping plants are going to be very happy in the spring! How many calories did I burn with virgorus shoveling?
