Taking stock after seven weeks 5/2-ing: zeven kilos lost and my BMI decreased by 2 whole points, so I am chuffed to bits at the moment. This is very motivating for me and it shows that it can be done, I hope it will inspire you as well. I still have at least some ten kilos more to go, and I am under no illusion that the weight loss will continue to be as fast as it is right now, especially with my thyroid problems, but I will continue. Will be fasting again tomorrow and I wish all fasters (and everyone else) a good day.

Congrats! Your results are double the average of what was once site-wide estimated here to be around one pound (.5 kg) per week. And 7 weeks is well beyond the "it's just waterweight" stage too!

By now you may have also noticed other "bonus" improvements such as sleep quality, general alertness, reduction of hunger ... medical condition improvements such as cholesterol ratios, blood pressure; as well as lowered stress levels, better clothes fit, ... :-) Much in there to be thankful for.

Thanks ADFnFuel,

As you said, this way of life has many advantages all of which came back to me from the first time I started fasting. Which I stupidly gave up, because I stopped losing weight which was due to a failing thyroid. This was diagnosed last November and I take medication for that, which also helps losing weight. But the 'reset' of all my cells as I like to think definitely feels revitalising. So onwards and upwards!

Great results! In the end it's about finding a weight level that is more or less sustainable with not too much effort in the future. Meanwhile: enjoy the rest of the journey
