Bloated and headache?

Was on my second day of fasting yesterday (Thursday). I always notice a slight headache during mid-day which then dissipates. Though last night after eating I felt slightly bloated and windy (! :o ). Anyone else notice these symptoms? Though have to say only after two days of being on it, I feel lighter!

I get the headaches sometimes. I believe it is due to not drinking enough fluid and/or having had too much sugary/high GI foods the day before. A big glass or two of water often helps the headache. Food contains a lot of water so if you're not eating you certainly need to drink more. I've not had a problem with bloatedness though. Or, not on a fast day at least. I do tend to feel bloated and windy on normal eating days especially if I eat a lot of carbs.

I think you are likely to find these problems will disappear with further fasts, but what do others think?

I have bilateral occipital neuralgia, frequent migraines and cluster headaches so like Sax I can tell the difference and feverfew tea can help.

It's worth reading up on because it's not suitable for people with low blood pressure.

I've not noticed any bloatedness but my stomach can feel 'hard' the morning after a fast... well, as hard as a fat jiggley thing can feel

I started with my first fast yesterday and felt fine the whole time, remarkably easy but have had a headache and felt very lethargic and weak today. Have others noticed this?

I'm getting the headaches. I've started on the cod liver oil capsules too for the skin and need to watch I eat enough fruit on feast days.

Hey you can try to use lavender. lavender is a right choice as one of the greatest benefits of lavender is to cope with headaches.

The European Journal of Neurology published a study showing that a 15-minute inhalation of lavender oil reduced significantly pain caused by headaches.

If you are one of people who struggle with headaches regularly, simply follow these steps to put an end to this problem.

Mix some drops of lavender and peppermint oil.
Rub the mixture over the back of your neck.
Inhale the mixture at the same time.

Oh wow! @Stellabell! I didn't realise that lavender was so good. I have printed off this article. My mum has constant headaches so hopefully this will help her - thank you!
