This is a good summary of different types of fasting which newbies might find helpful or indeed for those members who are currently reviewing their fasting plans. http://easacademy.org/trainer-resources ... nt-fasting
It is on a sports nutrition site, (so geared towards the athletic community), but I found the article balanced and nicely supported with all of her references from where she found her scientific data. One big miss though was 5:2 :curse:

Interesting but I've spotted an error, Brad Pilon promotes a 24 hour fast 1-2 days a week not more.
Quote:
"5-7 times per week – fasts should be between 12 and 16 hours long.
3-4 times per week – fasts should be between 16 and 20 hours long.
1-2 times per week – Fasts should be between 20 and 24 hours long.
1-2 times a month – Fasts should be between 24 and 72 hours long."

I *thought* I had written a fairly comprehensive guide to the different ways of doing IF in the Fasting Library
Start here: https://www.fastday.com/fasting/how-sho ... t-fasting/
and follow the links to a description of each method.
And if you want a summary of the scientific studies on fasting look here: https://www.fastday.com/fasting/latest-research/
