This series was really interesting, and though not about fasting it really does give you some insight into why we eat, when we eat and about hunger in general. Really found it helpful!

I probably have seen this programme previously but it was nice to view it again. It is pleasing to note that the information is now in the public arena as previously such knowledge was marginalised. One wonders how many of the decision-makers in society are in the pockets of those large conglomerates. This has to be the situation to enable those companies to get regulation drafted in their favours. We do live in a corrupt society where power and money are Gods.

Note the reference to the benefit of fat and in this respect the fat mentioned is not poly or mono unsaturated but rather saturated fat which is bodily healthy.

The propaganda in society is appalling and evil yet few people seem unable to recognise the motivation behind it or its falsity.

Episode 2 is also interesting. The food industry's strategy is well thought through but again in the interest of profit without consideration to public health. There appears to be a connection to the pharmaceutical companies where interest is solely that of ill-health and presumably they are part of the New World Leadership which plans to reduce the global population. It is easy to buy the loyalty of those operating within government and to throw bananas to the moneys. In business there is no such word as altruism.

That's the first time I've seen anyone here mention the NWO, nice to know I'm not alone in my global conspiracy beliefs! Yes, it does seem to fit in well with the population cull plans doesn't it?

Thank you so much for this Moogie. I think these documentaries look like the perfect follow up to Food Inc etc. I would like to send a link to friends and family members here in Australia who may not be on this forum. Can you please send me an Internet link to these programs that works?

Hi again
I just watched part 1 even though it is the start of my workday here lol! I just feel so fortunate to have been hippie vegetarian parents in the 70s and our children were so lucky as we brought them up with a whole food vego diet when they were young. My partner and I are active vegans and I have coeliac. I work in public health and its so good to have these documentaries that summarise the science so eloquently. I hope these programs will play on Aussie TV. We are still waiting for Eat, Fast and Live Longer to be shown here!
Thanks again
Elayne

The third programme in this series is particularly interesting especially showing where the power in the country and globally lies and where decisions are made; wheels within wheels including the skill of making a negative into a positive. I am thinking of withdrawing (or certainly reducing) my patronage from Tesco and ASDA and giving more support to the Co-operative and Sainsburys. The Public Health Minister Ann Milton is a particularly skilled negotiator with a strong personality and one can visualise that she may ascend further the Tory hierarchy. Even MEPs are running scared of the food industry. Jacques Peretti who wrote and presented this excellent series did a competent job at exposing the corruption within government and the food industry and should be rewarded. Corruption is probably not the right word as it was all legal which the government ensured to hide the conflict of interests of its ministers. Amazingly too that the NHS is partly funded by the food industry again revealing where the power lies.

Frightening really. So the target is a reduction of 5 billion calories per day. I wonder how much we are all contributing to achieving this target? It seems to me that rolling out M M's Fast Diet in high profile form for the nation would be the best plan to reduce obesity via lowering calorie intake.

Thank you Moogie for this. I did see it when it was broadcast but took it in better this time. I also go for the 'are they trying to get rid of us' conspiracy. Being nearer the end of life than most of you in this forum I also sometimes wonder this in regards to the way the elderly are being treated in hospitals and homes lately.
But to return to the program it has made me want to ensure that I don't fall for the food moguls attempt to kill me. I was reducing the total amount I eat before I started 5:2 but it wasn't enough. Now on 5:2 I am sure I will be helping to reduce that 5 billion calories and my over weight.

I saw this last night from your post and it is unbelievable! It explains why I have put on so much weight since the 1970's. Sugar, portion sizes and not understanding the information on packets.
Thanks for putting these clips on.

Thankyou for these Moogie. I haven't seen them before. I've only watched the first one but am quite frankly astonished at the events of the last 40 years which have made most of us fat. It's required viewing. Shheesh!

Thanks for these Moogie, really interesting viewing, but doesn't it make you angry?
I think watching these videos will spur us on to eat healthy meals, as a way to get revenge on the food industry and show them they can't manipulate us. I hope we can all boycott the biggest offenders and force them to be more responsible.

Very interesting series of programmes. It has encouraged me to start making better choices where food is concerned ie. ditching low fat dairy and going for full fat with better taste and satisfaction and eating less of it. I had forgotten how good a normal yoghurt tastes and you don't then need to go back for a second one. Also portion size - you don't have to have the McDonald's extra large menu you can pick the food and sizes you really want and actually having a cheeseburger and small chips is really cheaper than the big menu! Those marketing folks have a lot to answer for. Let's all be smart consumers and make the right choices for us!
