Advice on when to take medication

Hi,

I’m new to fasting. I have an autoimmune disease called myasthenia gravis. I’m currently on a high dose of prednisolone (60mg daily), but need to lose weight quickly for another medical condition to be treated. I’m on azathioprine (75mg daily) and mestinon (and gastric drugs) for the MG. I also have polycystic ovary syndrome and take metformin.

I think the only way forward is to fast, but I’m really not sure when to take my medication. I would rather not take the prednisolone late in the day as it causes insomnia.

Does anyone have any tips?

Thanks

Dear @matineeidle

You must consult your doctors about how best to lose weight and when to take medication if you are using fasting. Some forms of fasting may be more suitable for your situation than others, so do look into the various options and discuss with your health professionals.

Good luck and best wishes! :clover:
