Sassy Seniors Sanctuary

Well, seeing there is a Christmas Club and a Small Tent, I wondered if the 60+ may like a room with a view.
I'll be 61 next month and find that hard to believe some days. Though the person looking back out at me from the mirror certainly ain't young!
How are we getting on with this ageing business? It's not for the faint hearted but is this way of life helping us?
 :geek:

Oh lovely Azure, may i join your senior sanctuary ? I am a member of the teeny tent club too.
Am i allowed in both. I received a kind invite to be in the 69ers club too but as i am a 99er,i think it will be next Xmas before i can join the 69ers!
I am 64 in a few weeks time! Not happy about it but its better than the alternative!
Maybe we can have Grumpy Old Wimmin meetings
I would welcome the chance to have a good grumble about my sciatica andlots of other stuff that really pees me off! X

This Autumn weather has set my hand joints niggling, have to keep stretching them, feet too. Ten years ago I could walk five miles without a thought but it's three with a stick now because of a duff hip, and that's what landed me in the fat camp. Unfair unfair!

Ooh i know that horrible pain in the hand joints ..makes me wince..
And sciatica means i cant walk very far without a lot of pain, plus being dizzy and thinking i will fall.
Waaaaaaaargh getting older is no picnic! Specially when ailments make you get tubbier!

With the onset of colder times my will to do 24 hour fasts has melted away (grrrrr) so I'm trying to keep 16/8 up. Perhaps I should try for 5 out of 7 days a week on this until new year and the renewed zeal will fly me back to longer fasts ...
We'll see.

I'll be 64 at end of October! That's also my target date for seeing 154lbs (11 stones), though after this last weekend, it might have to be a little elastic (like the old waistband!!)

How come I still feel in my late 20s in my head but the mirror tells me otherwise! I'm 65 but some mornings when I look in the mirror I see this 95 year old hag looking back at me! Still, I'm lucky that I have no health concerns and am probably fitter and healthier now than at any stage in my life. I retired 5 years ago(still work one day as a volunteer in a charity shop), but joined a gym and absolutely love it! Hated P.E. and games at school (I had polio as a baby which has left my right leg 3cms shorter than my left), but find I can cope with aquacize, zumba toning and a gym workout each week.

Hi everyone, don't forget the oldest ballerina in the world, yes, ME! We had good fun in our summer sanctuary during my 'B du J' halcyon days back in June but obviously we need a winter wonderland in which to gather and have fun so yes, 66 and counting AND I'M IN!!!
Ballerina x

I'm feeling a tad left out guys. Can't get into the 69ers, can get it into the shorties tent, and now I'm too young.....so therefore I am a chicken loving, mud running, in the 12s at last fitbitter. :like:

At 72, it looks like I'm the oldest so far! I'm happy with it, though, life has been really good to me in my later years. OH and I reasonably healthy and very happy together. Retired and moved downtown where there is so much in walking distance and no ownership burdens in our lovely rented apartment in new building.

I'm worried about our economy here in the US, and now about that of the world, because of the shenanigans in Washington--otherwise life is good. Hope I can join in on the Seniors thread.
