I'm starting this journal as a way to keep myself motivated and accountable. I also hope that writing down how I'm feeling will help to work through any food cravings or emotions that may crop up during my fasts.

I first started fasting a little over a year ago, I had some success but I don't know what happened. For some reason I just stopped.
Recently I started watching Jason Fung's "Aetiology of Obesity" Lecture series and was quickly motivated to start fasting again.

I plan to start with a one off 48 hour water and broth fast as an induction type thing. Then moving to a low carb ADF plan.

I ate my last meal today at 7pm and will break my fast at 7pm on Thursday, normal eating Friday, fast day on Saturday etc...

Starting Weight 19 July 2016 - 80kg (176.37lb)
First Goal - 75kg
Second Goal - 70kg
Final Goal - 65kg

Welcome and good luck with your Fasting plan. :clover:

I am a Jason Fung fan. Have you come across his blogs on https://intensivedietarymanagement.com, or read "The Obesity Code"? I also hear he is working on a book about Intermittent Fasting

Welcome

This forum doesn't support zero (or near zero) calorie fasts in excess of 36 hours. I would strongly encourage you to break your fast at 7AM on Thursday or to make sure your doctor has approved your plan.

Now that I have that out of the way, welcome and good luck with your ADF plan.

Hi there!@Redcoffeemug (love the name, although shouldn't really since I've just given up coffee!!) Anyway, Welcome to this lovely forum! Everyone is super helpful here. It sounds as though you are really organised and determined, so I wish you well. A few of us have embarked on the BSD diet which, as seasoned fasters, we have found surprisingly easy! You should have a look in the BSD tent - its very inspiring in there!!
Great to have you with us!
