Thanks @Stowgate Resident - I'm trying to be patient. I think I will be disappointed if it doesn't go down tomorrow, as tomorrow will be 8 weeks. But what else can I do, but keep plugging along! Unfortunately I did not get a walk in today. It did stop raining, but was still kind of cold and damp and I was just extremely tired today.

Well, the scale is up a bit from yesterday and last week. But if I think about it, last week was not a great week and I knew that. Unfortunately this week I have another busy week, but I'm going to try to be better and really stick within my calories and carbs and get that water in. Also, it looks like the weather should be pretty good at the beginning of the week at least, so I'll try to get a daily walk in.

Pretty good day yesterday. I thought my steps would've been higher, because I did manage to get a 20 minute walk in around campus. I should be able to do that again today.

I've been using the Libra app to weigh myself daily and the idea is that it gives you a "trend" weight, which I really should be paying attention to, more than the actual daily weight. So I'm adding it in parentheses above.

Had kind of a lousy day combined with PMS yesterday and desperately wanted to eat badly, but I didn't! I even had to help serve pizza to students yesterday and resisted the urge to take a slice. Also, got a 20 minute walk in, which helped with my mood too!

Yesterday I had brought a pre-packaged salad to work and when I opened it, it didn't look or smell right, so I had to throw it out. So, I ended up sort of fasting, or shortening my eating window anyway. It wasn't a true fast because the calories were more than 500 and my carbs were a bit high too, but still not too bad. I also got in another 20 min. walk around school. It wasn't so bad not having lunch and I'm thinking I probably should try to fast (or even pseudo-fast) one day a week. We'll see!

Had a pretty good day, until I was very hungry right before bed, so I ended up having a snack. I also didn't get a chance to walk yesterday and today it is pouring rain, so I definitely won't. Hopefully though it will clear up by tomorrow and I can get a walk in both days of the weekend. The only social plans I have this weekend is my niece's birthday party. So I should be able to control my food!

Have a great weekend!

Pretty good day yesterday. Crazy storm here, very high winds and rain and snow in some places. Sunny today, but still very windy. I'm going to try to brave it though to get my walk in! Birthday party later today. I'll probably have whatever they are serving for food, but I'm not going to have any dessert!

Keep it up, @cblasz! I hope that you enjoyed your niece's birthday party and managed not to eat too many goodies. Our weather has been very cold and snowy here - far more than usual - so I am staying indoors (and have been since Tuesday, when it started)!

Thanks, @StowgateResident - the party was ok, it's nice to see some of the family. And I was pretty good. I did end up having one homemade chocolate chip cookie. My calories are definitely and estimate an still a little high for the weekend, as well as my carbs. But the scale still seems to be moving steadily down, so I'm optimistic that tomorrow I'll be officially down one more pound!

I did not get my walk in, I wasn't feeling up to it. But I am going to head out shortly today!

Stowgate - sorry about your weather, glad you get to stay cozy inside. Are you a reader?

This looks like a good way. I have not read them all yet, but will. Next snowstorm when I stay in.
I am doing something similar in my own notebook for all health (daily BP, blood sugar, weight, etc.) Hope I keep it up. Both my husband and aunt have had ER trips in the last 2 weeks, so I skip everything that day. Second trip I at well in cafeteria, great salad. I won't tell about first trip. Luck with yours. :clover:

I had a good day for a Sunday! And I'm very happy to be down 7 lbs. It took 9 weeks, but that's ok. Slow and Steady! My birthday is at the end of the month and I'm hoping to hit 10 by then.

Thanks @grannieannie! You definitely don't have to read all of my posts. I imagine they are rather boring. But it is helping me immensely to post every day! I'm sorry you had more hospital visits! I'm glad you were able to eat healthy the second time!!

Congratulations, @cblasz, that's is a good weight loss in nine weeks. Just keep it going and you will get there! I managed to lose one pound this week - making a total of 6.4 pounds since I started in earnest on the 21st January - but then this morning the scales showed a regain of 1.4 pounds!

I accept that I did eat an excessive number of biscuits yesterday (about 10 shortbread and chocolate covered oatmeal) and two pieces of date and walnut cake on Saturday but I am sure that after todays fast day it will return to normal. It's just retained water weight and, hopefully, will go as quickly as it came!

in answer to your question - yes i am a reader but have been kept busy with paperwork for the several Committees that I am secretary for. However, I am giving them all up by the end of this month and so i am planning a lot more reading in my life!

I look forward to seeing more of your stats and reading the narrative of your fasting life! Valerie

Had a good day yesterday overall, water was a little low. I did manage one walk around the campus. It was chilly and windy, so I couldn't muster up 2! Looks like we might have another snow day tomorrow. I've already planned my meals and I will be doing a lot of work, so I should hopefully be ok.

Valerie - you are very kind. I appreciate your support! It sounds like you are doing great and hopefully your fast went well yesterday. That's the nice thing, is that you can splurge a bit on non-fast days! I love reading too, but hardly have time for it (until the summer.) I would love to be snowed in and be able to read a lot!

Yesterday was a pretty good day, I managed to get one walk around campus, but didn't have enough time to do 2. Today we do have a snow day and although they called it yesterday, I still woke up really early this morning. I kinda dozed a bit after that, but I'm feeling tired and kinda groggy now. And all I want to do is eat. I've had breakfast (which I'm not supposed to), lunch and an unplanned snack. The good news is that I don't keep any junk food in the house, so I can't do too much damage. (I really could go for some cookies!) I think I'll be ok until dinner now.

Well, yesterday was not great, although I guess I could've done worse! Ironically the scale is down today. We have another snow day today to give the city time to clean up and get power back on (I have power), etc. It's nice to have another day off and I still have a ton of work and other things I can do. In fact, I'm having a hard time deciding which things I should do. I also tutor my cousin in Math on Thursday nights, so I'm hoping she can meet earlier. I'll need to clear off my car and I'll try to get a little winter wonderland walk in! I was planning to pseudo-fast again today, but that will be harder since I'm home. But I will hold off eating as long as I can!
