Thanks for your kind messages guys, I really wish I knew why my weight was bouncing up and down like this- it's starting to get frustrating. I am going to be SUPER good this week! I'm refusing to eat breakfast and the first thing I'll eat is some soup at lunch today. I really want to lose these last 2lb before Christmas to reach my target, otherwise I'll be really bummed out.

 Stay strong dreamer, I know its frustrating and the
only thing to help is a couple of really good fasts this week the ones where we're very good as in the early days this usually shocks my body and kickstarted weightloss for me
I'm also trying and determined to get to my xmas goal (2*75kgs for me) so come on let's try really hard together then if we don't get to our goals then it doesn't matter at least we have given it a dam good try, because we've got a brand new year ahead of us to achieve our dreams  Sue

Well said @Sue.Q
Don't worry too much about what the scale says dreamer. It was only 2 weeks ago that you told me you had 4lbs to xmas goal and you didn't think you'd do it, you're already half way there. Keep going, you're doing really well. Even if you don't quite make it at least you'll be closer than you were. I'm still 3.5lbs away from xmas goal. The funny thing is I know I'm losing weight. My clothes feel looser and I feel smaller. I've been bouncing around the same 4lbs for the last 6 weeks, I've just kind of got used to it. It's 2 steps forwards and one step back for me. 2 weeks ago I had a new low and then a stay the same last week. Tomorrow I hope for another new low. It's slow but it works :)
Good luck :)
Dee

Good luck, I really hope you make your xmas goal.

Still have 2 weeks to go - that is only 1lb a week, you can do it.
And as the others have said, even if you dont make it, you were so close and have 2014 to make a continued effort on the journey.

Okay, I haven't updated this for awhile mostly because last week I had a rant about how I didn't think 5:2 was working for me due to a 4lb weight gain! I was sooooo mad. Well anyway, I think I figured it out- I wasn't drinking anywhere near enough. I was fasting on 2 cups of black tea and 1 glass of water all day. So this week, I ditched the tea, switched to hot water, cold water and fruit tea and I managed to drop to just 1lb off my target!!!! It was a fluke either, I weighed myself again this morning and I was 1/4 of a lb lighter than yesterday morning and yesterday was a feed day. I feel quite victorious as well because I have managed to fast 3 days this week (much to my mothers shock and dismay) and I'll fit in another fast on Monday before Christmas so I'm hoping so much to lose this last pound before Christmas day. I think over Christmas my plan is to try to consume as few carbs as possible, fill up on lots of veg, meat, a small dessert. I'm trying to hold off on chocolate as much as I can, seeing the scales drop has really encouraged me to restrict my over-eating this week and my carb consumption. The jeans I bought at the beginning of 5:2 which didn't fit that were tight a few weeks ago, feel much better today! I think I have my Christmas wish :)

After 4:3 this week, figuring out to only drink water and curb some of my carbs, today I saw brand new numbers on my scales!!! I dropped into a new stone category, I beat my Christmas target (I still have another fast day on Monday) and I have officially lost 1st on 5:2!!!!!

That's fantastic, congratulations.
You should be very proud of your achievement!
Treat yourself over Christmas! (to something not food related!)

So after reaching my Christmas target, I stupidly went off the rails and only fasted once over the Christmas period- result was a 7lb gain!!! Sad times. So this week I got my butt in gear and did 4:3, and managed to lose 3lbs, so that's only 4lbs until I'm back at my pre-Christmas weight. I intend to 4:3 next week too, I'm actually enjoying 4:3 so I might keep doing it. But yes, my New Years resolution is to not stress over the scales. So this shall be my last progress update until 14th of Feb (just before my next holiday!) so of wanted to take the time to thank you all for your amazing encouragement, love and support!! I appreciate it so much xxxxx

 Hi @daydreamer21 Well I never got close to my xmas goal and at this moment in time my v/challenge is looking very sad
Christmas I think would be a good time for us all to hibernate even a 2week one would work for me.
( how good would that be?)
It's 1st xmas for many of us and I think most of us have learned from it.
I've done back2back fasts Mon/Tues feeling great + thinner!
Got on scales Fri 200grams gained I feel like I've wasted 5weeks. well we know what's needed you and I so

not saying obvious this time coz feeling jinxed!!!!!!! Lolx

Okay so my New Years resolution didn't quite work, I'm now weighing after every fast day but I have been happy with the results! After another week of 4:3 I'm down another 1kg!! I'm hoping next week I'll get back to my pre-Christmas weight and then some!!! Very excited.
