Hi Juliana.
I thought I had updated! I only lost 3lbs out of my 8lb target.
I'm still at that weight now having undone the damage from Christmas! I do hope there's a new challenge coming up soon :-)

Hi Juliana,
Happy New Year and thanks for the new reminder.
I have maintained the same weight that I last recorded before I unceremoniously dropped off the radar screen on the forum. However I wouldn’t recommend my method of maintenance on my worst enemy. In the last week of October I received a terrible shock when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Ironically I had been feeling in the best physical shape and all my indicators pointed to good health when I saw the doctor for my yearly exam in early October. Since then I have been in a fierce fight for my life and I am going through chemotherapy. Needless to say the idea losing the last 8 lbs suddenly became insignificant and visiting the fastday forum has been replaced by forums relating to other less appealing subjects. I haven’t fasted at all since I started on this journey, but the last time I got on the scale I had not gained or lost anything from last October 25. I plan to continue fasting once I am done with my treatment.

Ladies, please do your self-checks often and become your own health advocates when something seems not right. No one knows your body like you do. I wish you all the best for 2015.

Hi Juliana & all Xmas challengers. Having dropped 10lbs and made my target (under 11st 12lbs), I declared a month of diet-free Xmas eating. Returned to the fold this week, weighing in at 12st 2.75 on Sunday morning, so still around 5lbs below my startpoint. And no angst at all about chocolates & double cream this Xmas!!

I'd hoped there'd be another challenge to join in January - the Xmas one worked so marvellously well for me, keeping me focussed on getting the fast days in & returning me to the programme each time life intervened with excess calories.

I'm re-starting now - the next target is to be back under 11st 12 by the end of Feb! Its really great that I now have confidence that's going to be possible.

Thank you Juliana, & everyone else too - it made dieting fun!

Hey @Swan51 - thanks for updating us on your situation - I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Hope you're coping with the chemo - when a friend was going through it I started looking up useful articles on fasting before chemo. It's early days in the studies, but it looks interesting. If you'd like and haven't come across them already I could try to find the links again. Stay strong, and thanks for the advice - we all need reminders - I do regular checks, but I've been procrastinating on visiting the doc for the full tune and servicing. Time to book myself in.
