I am in a simialr position, switched from vlc diet to this, so interested to hear what you did!
I switched for similar reasons - restricting every day was tough, and I just know that it was lowering my metabolism...my hope is that the calories on non-fast days helps to speed up my metabolism.
Hi Lucy.
On my fast-days I am very strict not eating more than 400 calories, but on my feast-days I have tried to make different calorie-intake.. one day maybe 1600, then, 1400, 1800 like that.. I did put in average 1200 per day for all week meaning 8400 for whole week and then I took away the 2 fast-days of 800 cals. together and use the rest for 5 days but different intake every feast-day. Hope you understand what I mean, if not feel free to ask again
. I like to keep an eye on what I am eating, even on my feast-days but a lot of people are not and they just eat what they want, just not overeating, so it is up to you what YOU like.
Like you I was so tired of my diet before , very strict calorie, the same everyday 1100 cal for 2-3 month, and the last couple of weeks, nothing happened.
So I changed to this 5:2 diet, and I am happy, that I did. The forum here is fantastic, and people here have been so supporting with a lot of good advices
.
