plateau at week 5?? ...or overeating?

I have been doing the 5:2 for about 5 weeks now and the first couple weeks was losing about a pound a week which was fantastic. I was orinally 58.4kg and now sitting at 57.1kg (3ilbs). My current BMI is 21 so not overweight as such, but determined to look a bit better. Is it normal to have a plateau this early on,or am I subconsciosly overeating on my normal days? wondered if you're BMI was normal to start with plateau's maybe come quicker?? help...i'm losing faith at this early stage
