Food porn - do not read if fasting!

I've been out today to a Welsh culinary challenge meal. We had to give feedback and on our table, we were very united and critical (I was with a chocolatier and 2 fine cake creators, plus a pasta maker and wine expert, as part of the Welsh Cookery School).
I forgot to take a photo of the fish starter, but here are thee photos of what we ate next.
I am not a chocolate lover, but the dessert was absolutely divine, with a melting chocolate centre to the mousse.

That all looks amazing and utterly scrumptious Penny! Bet you savoured every morsel!

Yep, you said it, food porn.
My Dad would have stuck his nose up at that though. The portions weren't fit for a real man, and all that fancy messing about with the food just ruined it. His words not mine.

I do wonder what the calories were for the whole lot.

You're right about the portion sizes! I can certainly eat some hearty goulash tonight, which I'd put in the slow cooker at 9am!
Probably not that many calories, as portions were so 'delicate'. We had to give what we thought the meal deserved to Cancer Research

That really puts my slow cooked shoulder of lamb in it's place!

Edit - my lamb went in the slow cooker at 6.45 this morning - sad moi?

and my sausage and bean casserole.

My eldest, the chef, still tries to 'pretty' up the food. Well present it nice whenever he is doing the cooking. It really does work. You may not have much on your plate, but the feast for the eyes does seem to make it tastier.

Nice presentation is important, but I can't stand 'stacked' food that you can't get at (not that Penny's posh lunch fell into that category)

Where are all the vegetables?
Sorry, but it leaves me cold (and I am a chocolate lover).
