Easiest Time to Fast for 24 Hours

Hello,

Just wondering your opinions on what time you take your meal on "fast" days and if you space out your meal 24 hours from your next, or try to make shorter periods to avoid a full 24 hours.

Also, does anyone find a certain 24 hour period to be easier than another? i.e. Lunch to lunch, or dinner to dinner, etc.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi @soflsun and welcome.

I think the most popular routine is to fast from dinner to dinner, probably to reduce the chance of going to bed hungry and also because it can be easier to put up with feeling hungry during the day if you can keep busy but not so easy to get thru the evening if feeling hungry. But there is of course individual variation, and it has to be what works for you. Some (not lots) people really need breakfast, and the occasional person does lunch to lunch. And some spread the 500 cals throughout the day, with small meals, rather than going for 24 hours without any food.

If you read the "learn" section and look for relevant discussion topics, you should find more info on this issue.

Best wishes and good luck.
