I have achieved a major goal! I have gone through holidays and the food festival season without putting the weight back on - or, if I have gained a few pounds, I've learned not to ignore it, but to take action and lose it straight away.
No food has been banned, just mindfully eaten. Chips? I've had a few... Chocs... too few to mention. But eat them I have!
Since my last blog entry, I can count on one hand the times my daily carbs have gone over 100g. This is definitely the secret of success for me.
I recently had the pleasure of spending time with @silverdarling, who reminded me that my wardrobe is woefully and deeply dated and sad. She took me shopping, suggesting styles that I'd never normally consider. It was quite an eye opener for me! I bought a dress! And a jacket! And became aware that I was still dressing a 213lb (69.6kg) woman, not a size 12, 143lb (64.8kg) one!
And this in itself made me realise that weight loss is not just about... well, weight loss, but about the adjustment of personal image. So, out with the baggy T shirts, warm fleeces (maybe I'll keep them for dog walking!), the frumpy styles, and the conservative colours.
Yes, the dress was black, but there are times when you need a LBD, aren't there?
In will come some warm Autumn colours, leggings, boots and some nice accessories.
And a bit of pride in what I have achieved - with the help of all of you - and Silver Darling, of course!
