Same here Karen....been almost a year for me. But once you start it all comes back to you. Plus I want to celebrate my reaching goal here too,
Brene Brown's TED talk on shame was amazing so I'll be interested to learn what you think of the book.

So very deliberately starting in 2015 I made a special effort not to fast. It was so very hard, but I knew deep down that I needed to address my relationship with food as a priority before it gets completely out of control.
The first thing that happened was that I read this http://www.telegraph.co.uk/women/womens ... t-fat.html and made a start. There is nothing earth shattering about this plan apart from the fact that there is alot less food than I have been eating in this past year. However the variety and balance is very good. Nothing is off limits -no food groups are excluded, just tasty balanced menus in small portions. All low GI/GL and not too much protein, which works well for me. Alot less fat than I have been eating too. There are low cal days, but I can't tell if they are fast days because I have not counted the calories. I just pin the weekly menu to the fridge door and eat what is on the list for the day. It means I don't need to think about what I going to make for the day and I don't go off piste. Have made a couple of adjustments, for example on the juices, I make smoothies instead so I eat the fibre and eat sprouted wheat bread instead of whole wheat. Still avoiding the eggs through as I know I get a reaction to them, but other things to choose from.
A couple of weeks later, the Horizon programme came along and I took the test http://www.bbc.co.uk/guides/z2csfg8. I have a deadly combination of being an emotional eater and a feaster. This means that I have a propensity to turn to food to manage my emotions, but being a feaster, I can't stop once I start which pretty much explains why I was so screwed up. I eat really clean but it makes not a jot of difference if there is too much of it going in my mouth. I was initially skeptical about the dietary advice given, but then I realised that this is what I am doing on the plan I found the week before.
My weight is coming off again - it's only been a couple of weeks so I will judge the results at the end of the month. I tend to yo yo, so I want to give it a full month before I have an opinion.
To address the emotional side, I downloaded this book http://www.amazon.com/dp/159285849X/?ta ... 6s9mdz9y_b. I'm only about a third of the way through it, but so far I have really enjoyed reading about shame and fear and other types of emotions that we all get from time to time.
I doubt I will turn my back on fasting fully. However the time might be right for me just now to ring the changes.
Finally I have ordered a FitBit Surge. I am so excited! Can't wait for it to turn up in the next few weeks. Well I managed to write quite a bit in the end!
