Do you ever have those weeks where you feel like you just can't seem to get through a number on the scale? That was my past couple of weeks. Could not break 155 for the life of me, would drop down close then jump back up and so on like a bouncy ball. Well, I finally made it through today. Which just goes to show that you really cannot predict what your body is going to do whether you do things 'right' or not. Case in point, I ate well over my calories this past weekend (like half a package of cookie dough over -- no small beans) and fasted one day less this week and here I am just sliding down past that little block.
It does help that my constipation issues have greatly relieved themselves in the past couple of days, to the benefit of the scale, I'm sure, as well as my belly (doesn't matter how thin you are if you've got all that stuck -- feels horrible and covers up your slender bod).
What I'm trying to say is. We can only do what we do and move forward and the outcome may or may not follow suit in a predictable fashion. We like to think we're in control, but we so are not. And we can guess at causation and correlation, but at the end of the day we are not running bonafied double-blind science experiments on ourselves with hourly blood tests, so there will always be at least some guesswork involved.
All I'm saying, I suppose, is: I'm glad that the scale continues to move downwards and my body continues to respond, even if it isn't in the ways that I expect or want. It all get there eventually in much the same fashion as it has so far.
If you're new to this way of eating, keep going! If you're not new, KEEP GOING!
P.S. Got my yearly general blood work back, and they all look great! usually I have some danger items, but all of the numbers have improved, especially my cholesterol and triglycerides. And, thankfully, my blood glucose has always been in the normal range and still is.
