Like you I live on a rural property and keep chooks and make my own bread. We live in Tasmania, Australia. I make sour dough. I also try to stay away from factory food and we do pretty well with the garden and the chooks. We try to eat local products. So I found a lot to identify with in your blog. Be kind to yourself and keep doing it one day at a time. I thought it was really good how one day you were planning to fast, and then you didn't because you didn't feel up to it. This diet is flexible like that. The main game is to restore your relationship with food, as you so clearly articulate. Go well, girl! I'm with you.

The Elder trees are starting to bud. I hope there are plenty of flowers this year as I have run out of elder flower cordial. The pear trees also have buds.
Weather meant to improve this week so hope to get going fully on veggie patch.
Am aiming for another fast day on Thursday and am working on pulling myself out of depression. Some sun will certainly help.
The plaster boarding of the Gite continues, this week should see it finished. I have finally worked out how I want my kitchen and once the Gite is done that is the next thing to do which will really make me happy.
We are waiting for another delivery of wood which will need stacking. As the cold weather has gone on so long we have used more wood than normal.
Will crank up the oven shortly as need to do some baking. I have an egg mountain to reduce! I give loads away but my ducks and chickens just keep laying!
