Well done with the phone call. I lived in Madrid when I was pregnant with my eldest and struggled with the language terribly at first. then to Algeria with schoolgirl French. Pretty good now with both languages, but struggling terribly with Italian (DIL Sardinian, English excellent, but her parents don't speak English, so as my son speaks Italian that's the language of choice when we all get together. I mix it up horribly with French and Spanish and really struggle.

Day 1 back on track
by Bobshouse on 10 May 2013, 18:06
I am taking it very much one day at a time.
My Rouen ducks go to their new home tomorrow, it will be hard as I have had them from eggs, but they are going to a good home. The Muscovy gang will go as soon as they have finished sitting on eggs. If any eggs are successful they will be rehomed too.
My three chicks are happily mooching around the garden with the flock and seem to have been accepted.
Very cold today, have lit the woodburner this evening which has made the dog settle quietly!
I am planning on getting on with my knitting this evening to keep me occupied.
I am feeling chuffed too because I missed a delivery today, probably the new lawnmower and I managed to call and rearrange the delivery for Monday. My French is not brilliant but I was understood and I understood them. Normally I let OH deal with phone calls but as I am on my own for a few days felt I should deal with it.
